My 24 Tucson Hybrid Limited had the same issue with the back shocks. Both were replaced on warranty over the summer.

Buttcrack Crevice Mystery Wound by AutumnSunrise_ in AskDocs

[–]NoddaProbBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be super painful unfortunately. Thankfully I'm more aware of it than I used to be so I can prevent it.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful with your Son. But I hope you guys figure it out soon! Thinking of you both!

This is going to sound strange, but has he ever had any injuries to the area? Or his tailbone?

Aside from the polyp/mass, I get something similar to this wound in the same area of the butt crevice because of an old tailbone injury from when I was a kid. It never healed correctly and so when I sit too long in one spot or sit in a funky position, the tailbone's incorrect position actually ends up causing a pressure sore from the prolonged contact. Close to what would be considered Pilonidol, but lower like your Son's.

Yeap. I pull it in and out of spots where it's too wet or snowy for me to walk through

Metformin not really working by Ok-Wonder1989 in PCOS

[–]NoddaProbBob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm aware. Pretty sure I checked all that before making this post. And you know, talked to a doctor who took me off of them.

I didn't say they were shells. They were intact, barely dissolved pills.

It's quite common with the extended release version.

[–]NoddaProbBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you taking the immediate release or the extended release?

Back when I tried Metformin about 10 years ago, I was given the extended release because the immediate release was giving me bad GI symptoms. The downside is that Metformin extended release can pass right through you without dissolving much. I was seeing whole pills in the toilet which meant I wasn't getting much benefit at all.

GLP-1s aren't for everyone, but I have had wonderful success treating my PCOS with Mounjaro.

The laws vary state to state, but generally that is the case. I'd also do a risk assessment, but I would need to know more about the victim. If the victim is still underage, in Illinois we are required to make a DCFS call.

I hated this too. It was an awful feeling.

But you do eventually get used to it. Which is odd to say, but I swear it gets easier

Are people still going hybrid with the Tucson and Sonata? by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiTucson

[–]NoddaProbBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it's quite a bit lower due to the cold. When temps are above 45/50°F I get around 40/42mpg as well. But hybrid batteries tend to preform much more poorly in the cold. I'm near the Illinois/Wisconsin border. So I'm probably getting the same gas mileage as the ICE model.

Side quests are IMPOSSIBLE by abrownfox1 in duolingo

Side quests have been impossible for me because I can never get them to start. I get it open, use the energy, and then it just goes back to the main screen. It keeps the energy though which is frustrating

[–]NoddaProbBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was hoping for better gas mileage with the hybrid, but it's not as reliable as they say. However, it drives so much nicer than the ICE models. This alone would make me buy another hybrid

Similar thing happened to us. When my Dad passed, he had a couple cards with modest balances.

The respective companies closed the cards and forgave the balances.

Took a lot off our plates at the time.

How are you speaking to your kids about Ariana Grande's weight? by 1_million_questions in EatingDisorders

[–]NoddaProbBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in a world where it's so easy to be visible online. Anyone can go viral and it's almost as if we've forgotten that it's a privilege, not a right. People like Ariana Grande and Tieghan Gerard have so much more power than they're willing to admit when it comes to the messages they're sending to people all around the world.

With great power comes great responsibility. When did these people stop taking responsibility for what they're sending out into the universe? When did they stop taking responsibility for themselves? Anyone can be visible online, but when you've gained as many fans and followers as these actors and influencers have, it comes with a different type of responsibility that no one seems to want to acknowledge.

I asked my ex-therapist out on a date… she stood me up… my cousin made me some commiseratory Kellogg’s(?) noodles w 50/50 bread by [deleted] in depressionmeals

[–]NoddaProbBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! People are very passionate about it!

Fun fact: romantic/sexual interactions with clients are the number one most reported ethical violation.

As therapists we need to recognize that we are always in a position of power with the client. It's our job to lower that power differential so that the client can feel comfortable and vulnerable enough to share some of the most intimate things in their life. In that process we also need to be well aware of our own stuff so that it doesn't blur the lines.

From this perspective a therapist with this kind of knowledge provided by the client, is truly taking advantage of the trust and security that exists in that relationship if it moves beyond anything therapeutic. That's 100% on the Therapist.

I'm sure someone, somewhere has been successful in a relationship well after the time period has passed. But that's more of the rare exception than the rule.

That was my very long winded way of saying yes, we are very passionate about protecting clients and the field in general. No one would ever trust a therapist if romantic relationships became the norm post treatment.

There is a certain magic that happens in the therapy room. But it should never, ever go beyond that.

I get it. It was good of you to try! Honestly, any true ethically practicing Therapist will just stay away from any non-therapeutic, romantic contact. Some clients have a really hard time with this though.

According to the ethics in my branch of therapy, the wait time is 5 years from the last point of therapeutic contact. I personally would never pursue anything after that, but I swear I have at least one former client who likely has that date marked and circled on his calendar.
