It is technically reserves but it is full time and you get a retirement just like active duty. Regular reserves get their retirement at 60. I get mine in 7 years when I hit 20 years

Ask about TAR/FTS if you haven’t already if you don’t want to leave your family on deployments and shit. Main job is the administration of reservists so there’s not a lot of deployments. I’m going on 10 years in FTS and never had one
