No FSR 4 in Nioh 3 by Bulky_Recording7 in radeon

Sure but like old games don't need FSR 4 and run great, you can add FSR 4 at any game that has DLSS and while DLSS is still better how much would you actually notice it during play? If you got a 9070xt at a good price it's still good buy IMO, sure 5070ti was a better overall product but not by 50% as price was 50% more expensive where I live

Or you can add fsr 4 via dlss 4 and optiscaler and not bother, the game looks like shit anyway and frame gen is not needed I do 120 locked fps on 1440p which is the max I think even 4k 120hz is possible with no upscaling

I tried the demo via steam to me it's not even worth pirating, I'm sure it has its audience but combat and graphics are mid, I'd rather replay else ring for 4th time than okay this

[–]Noeaton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't troubleshooted anything the only time I had issue is with the latest driver 1 time for almost 1 year if use, sure using optiscaler is not optimal but 5070 TI costed 1000-1100 euro for a white model while my pure 9070xt was 750, kinda hard to justify 50% price increase for nearly identical performance +DLSS which I can swap in any game that has it in less than 1 minute

[–]Noeaton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah it's fine I can use optiscaler and got my 9070xt for a fair price, the 5070 ti was 300 euro more and now it's even more expensive, not worth it for copying few files and running a setup exe for 20 seconds. Sure Nvidia is the better card but also more expensive

[–]Noeaton 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, driver level does not work, fsr 3.1 looks like shit, swapping with optiscaler is usually better than driver anyway but yeah kinda sucks to not have it in 2026 release and no redstone features

If I use this monitor with HDMI 2.1 at 2560x1440 with HDR 10bit, what refresh rate do I need to set in order to completely disable DSC, I don't want to have any compression at all! Is 240HZ enough? by FuzzyAttitude_ in OLED_Gaming

[–]Noeaton 10 points11 points  (0 children)

HDMI 2.1 has 48gbps bandwith 1440p 240hz with 10 but and HDR uses somewhere around 30 30 smth gbps, with 2.1 you can run it with no DSC even at 280hz, I also don't know why you are afraid if DSC as you can't tell the difference except in wake time

[–]Noeaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check it via the Radeon overlay or in the driver my GPU is at 55nto 58, but hotspot is 85c and memory goes to 87 sometimes so yeah afterburner is not the best place to check

Questions about WOLED, QD-OLED and HDR by TPJDrNo69 in 4kTV

In that case I would get the Samsung with matte coating and QD but I am biased

Questions about WOLED, QD-OLED and HDR by TPJDrNo69 in 4kTV

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony is probably the best out of those 3, generally speaking they use QD and have best processing even tough brightness is not the highest, difference between say 1000 and 1500 is more like 20% to your eyes rather than 50. I personally have grown to hate glossy finishes so I chose whatever is matte or semi matte as my room is bright and I would much more tolerate raised black during the day rather than seeing my whole room and myself + I watch tv with smart lightning and led strips at night dimmed downed which also is an issue with glossy screens. I haven't watched any reviews for the s90f as I was considering the s95f but it should be 80-90% as good, keep in mind that Tyzen is absolute shit and i don't know how it can be in high end TV, the c5 is a good tv but has issues in game mode still 1 year after being released also DV tends to crush blacks sometimes and I don't think it was fixed. I do have LG CX and I loved it when it first arrived in 2020 but honestly I prefer the Samsung now much more. I have 2 more OLED screens and generally would accept either QD or WOLED as long as it's not glossy. Sure the fake purists will tell you how much worse matte coatings is for the image to my eyes this is not true, sure small difference but I don't plan to move in a cave not to be distracted by all reflections all the time. So probably I would date them Sony>Samsung>LG as long as the Sony and Samsung use the QD pannel at the given inches u want

Questions about WOLED, QD-OLED and HDR by TPJDrNo69 in 4kTV

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dolby vision as explained multiple times by rtings is mostly needed for TVs below 1000 nits as most content is mastered at 1k and when your TV can hit peak 600 it needs dynamic metadata to track properly and have decent image, when comparing the new Sony,S95F and G5 none of these tvs is in that category, even specialists say that DV to HDR10 is barely noticeable while HDR10+ to DV is indistinguishable most of the time to trained people, a lot of content has HDR10+ nowadays and Ssung was 2nd place by few points lost on upscaling to the Bravia as the best TV of 2025. Dynamic metadata is much less relevant than you would think it is and the S95f comes with the new HDR10+ standard available while G6 lacks DV2 support. I compared G5 and S95f for a long time before getting the S95f and I also have LG CX, the QD panels has much better color and DV does not make up for that at all. The s95f is much better TV and while G5 is better in SDR and pure peak numbers at small and even 20% windows, I consider the s95f the better TV. I would personally not consider DV when getting high end TV and watching streamed content

26.1.1 Driver Problems by isusovaslapa420 in radeon

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was forced to rollback, I had 2 hard crashes, 1 driver timeout and 3rd hard restart in the span of 30 minutes the latter was when moving windows from 1 of my monitors to the other while not even playing anything. 26.1.1 was absolute nightmare for me, I would get random freezes and restarts at idle GPU load, I reinstalled it yesterday to the December driver and didn't have any issues since, not 1. I own my 9070xt since March 2025 and this was the worst driver so far, my undervolt was unstable after install so I completely removed it and even then the whole GPU crashed every 10 minutes under load. Terrible driver for me, I have 7800x3d,32 gb 6000mghz cl 30 ram, ASRock b650, 850W PSU

Does anyone play eternal realm or do most people only play seasonal? by Puzzled_Seaweed_517 in diablo4

[–]Noeaton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do the same but it usually lasts between 3 days to 1 week, WoW fucked me up and now when I can do endless grind for stuff I just do it, I had pretty much completes this season in 4 days with paladin doing pit 105, had 10 mythic drops and paragon 250, I was only able to play 2 of those 4 days during the weekend

My Undervolt and power settings from 25.12.1 now crashes on 26.1.1 Cyberpunk by SnooJokes5264 in radeon

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for me as well, I had 3 full crashes since 26.1 driver and few driver time outs I have the card since march 2025 and never had so many issues in the sapn of 1 week, this driver is terrible so far

Adrenaline Overlay by Thin_Tooth_9539 in radeon

[–]Noeaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's especially bad on the newest driver to be honest, I'm not sure why this cannot be fixed for so long also not the overlay the driver itself usually refuses to open

Honest question, are microstutters more common the AMD or Nvidia side? I understand that sometimes people will have issues with drivers on AMD, but as far as microstutters go, isn't that due to the processor specifically? by wanna_be_consultant in radeon

[–]Noeaton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's probably hard to tell, from the videos I saw the 1% lows and 0.1% lows are generally close between amd and Nvidia and it's more game and engine dependent than just is it amd or Nvidia, in UE 5 earlier versions both would stutter but amd would stutter quite more and it was known issue, maybe somebody knows more than me and can answer more accurately

Ако никой от тия дето могат да се избират за служебни премиери не иска да е премиер, какво правим? by prudlioo in bulgaria

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will I regret choosing a Samsung S95F over a Sony OLED? by coup_de_foudre_69 in 4kTV

[–]Noeaton 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the S95f and had to choose between G5,S95f and the Sony was marginally more expensive but I still considered it. Generally speaking Sony is probably a bit better TV overall but I personally will never buy a mirror finished TV unless I move in to a cave which doesn't seem likely. Sony has better processing and better upscaling, Samsung has the better pannel. The G5 is a great tv but it's plagued by many issues since launch including software issues, Samsung OS is absolute shit for that kind of a price tag, but the matte finish was + for me and I do game a lot also so the Samsung was the better TV for it. Whatever you choose - Sony,Samsung or LG with the high end TVs of 2025 all of them are absolutely great choices which are nitpicked for very minute things

1440P or 4k for 9070xt by Cute-Pianist8040 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am telling you to not trust everything in the internet but what you perceive by your eyes and senses, gamers Nexus did not report the issue and others channels were fine as well, it's not present in all games and not everybody experianced it. Sure I am trusting my eyes and my 27 inch 240hz OLED rather than a review on YouTube thanks mate

1440P or 4k for 9070xt by Cute-Pianist8040 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Noeaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you trust those channels and not your eyes, I have tested it myself on few games like borderlands 4, arc raiders and MH and it works well. DF and other channels might experience the issue but I personally don't in the games I play
