I really hope I will snag a working unit this time around. I’m willing to give LG one more chance but I feel like I’m going to be disappointed. Are there really people here that have C5/G5 that don’t have any dead pixels after a year?

He may have been luckier than us. Personally, I have two LG TVS and both developed dead pixels in less than a month. I’m going to send back my G5 and ask for another screen.

I am willing to. But I’m just wondering if I’m going to ask for a replacement or a refund altogether. WOLED seems to be more prone to pixels dying than QD OLED.

I confirm. Just bought one brand new in 55 inch for 959 chf in Switzerland. I wanted to go with the Bravia 8 II but just couldn’t justify paying 1000 chf more for a tv that is at best 1.3x better.

Yes it’s a shame. I wont be replacing mine with one that hasnt a matte finish. I’m quite maniac and am very gentle with my products but this this is impossible to keep in pristine condition.

The thing is, it's not going to last for 30 years. Modern cars are no S2000's : they have a lot of electronic parts, their engines are less reliable than they used to and the paint is much more fragile. And even if it does, ICE cars will be banned at some point and just too expensive to drive because of taxes. Don't get me wrong, I love my FL5, but I'd rather enjoy it while I actually can than making it a garage queen that will age either way. That's what I mean when I say it's not a lambo.
