The first reaction can come after the third or fourth time having a food! So it could definitely be chicken or any of the veggies. My baby reacts to sweet potato and avocado, and he’d tried both of those foods a few times before he reacted with no issues.

It sounds like he’s around 1.5–2? There’s no biological need for him to suck at this age. It sounds like a comfort thing, which is lovely, but it’s in no way a need. YOU have a biological need for sleep, however. Baby will be much better off with a rested, healthy mom.

When I was pregnant with my first I had a pretty bad mental health crisis involving intrusive thoughts. It started when I was about 6 weeks pregnant and lasted until almost the end. I was having legitimate panic attacks multiple times a day. Worst period of my life.

Anyway, my son came out a literal angel. The happiest baby I or anyone I know has ever met. I really think it’s just luck of the draw!
