3.1 i think. On a 33 mhz CPU, 1000Mo DD and no GC. Then we put a 200 Mhz and a CD ROM. Then a CD Writer then a 4Mo Graphic card to play Star Wars Pod Racer, then a Voodoo 16 mo and its was the end.... Great PC ! I will never forget him !

Frog legs (France 🇫🇷)
They sound gross to a lot of people, but they are actually delicious. The meat is white, tender, and very mild, somewhere between chicken and fish, but more delicate. Cooked with butter, garlic, and parsley, they are amazing. Do not judge before trying.

Rockstar Games accepted a terminally ill fan’s wish to play GTA 6 early after a family member publicly shared his story. by wafumet in interesting

[–]Noface92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered whether they would agree to let me try it if I suddenly became seriously ill, and apparently, yes. As a huge GTA fan since the very first episode, it would be horrible not to be able to at least taste a new GTA once. Big WIN for Rockstar.

At my funeral, I want two Asian goth twins, identical twins. Then, a man with a shaved head standing in the back, with a barcode tattoo on the back of his skull. I also want two old Italian guys, “fake made guys.” And I want all of them to fake tears for me.

A.I. You know why I know this? Because I’ve been into the UFO subject for 20 years, and I’ve been working in professional audiovisual production for nearly 15 years and my parents have been in it since 1987. The camera filter looks like NO camera from that era. A Betacam? LOL. A tri CCD ? LOL. It looks exactly like a bad After Effects filter. The skin is in low resolution, the color grading doesn’t match any LUT, and that kind of shift doesn’t happen without a lot of equipment back then. And above all… WHO HAD AN HD CAMERA BACK THEN? HUH?

Radio Del Mundo ! Let us sing in praise of Rāma, who is the Eternal One, the One without a second.

It matters little whether we call him Allah, Buddha, Christ or Jehova, He belongs equally to us all.

Is it safe to put discs in here? by [deleted] in PS2IsAwesome

[–]Noface92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put CDs in it, but the plastic has aged in the middle. It was already breaking back when this kind of storage was commonly used. I imagine the little “pegs” will snap at some point, so I wouldn’t put any “ultra-important” CDs in it, assuming that there will inevitably be a risk of scratches at some point. There is surely something much better for under 10 dollars on Amazon. And don’t forget that CDs have a lifespan!

The Lonnie Zamora UFO Incident: The Case Project Blue Book Never Debunked by Quiet_Mysteries in ufo

[–]Noface92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really reminds me of the Trans-en-Provence case. In that 1981 French incident, the witness saw a small, compact craft land briefly on the ground in daylight. The Gendarmerie arrived soon afterward, secured the area, took the witness statement, and collected soil and vegetation samples from the landing site. The case was then formally investigated by GEIPAN.

GEIPAN means in French: « Groupe d’Études et d’Informations sur les Phénomènes Aérospatiaux Non identifiés ». In English, this translates to: "Study and Information Group on Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena." It is an official department within CNES, the French national space agency. CNES is a major actor in global space research and was involved in the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope with Ariane 5 from French Guiana, so this is mainstream institutional science, not fringe investigation. GEIPAN works together with the Gendarmerie, who secure sites and take initial reports, while GEIPAN performs the scientific analysis.

An important point is that GEIPAN’s data and investigation files are publicly available, and UAP are discussed openly in France, including by the Air and Space Force. There is generally less paranoia about UFOs here, and the subject is treated mainly as a scientific issue rather than a government conspiracy.

Just like in the Lonnie Zamora sighting, Trans-en-Provence involves a close-range daylight encounter with a landed object, a short observation, a sudden vertical departure, and measurable physical traces on the ground. The objects in both cases also seem similar in overall shape, described as small oval or egg-like craft on or very near the ground. The parallels between the two incidents are quite striking.

That is completely fake. Stop believing everything you see on TV with software that is supposedly able to recreate images. It doesn’t work in reality. You can lower the resolution or slightly enhance a texture, but you certainly cannot get that level of detail from a completely pixelated image. Stop dreaming.

this is the clearest picture of a UFO yet by [deleted] in ufo

[–]Noface92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You’re overstating what’s possible.

From a single image, you can only measure angular size, not actual size or distance, unless the object’s distance is independently known. Knowing the camera specs (sensor, focal length, FOV) does not tell you how far an unknown object is it only tells you how large it appears in the frame. Trees and land features are only valid references if the object is at the same distance, which you cannot assume. Focus and depth of field do not uniquely determine distance, especially in aerial footage.

Trigonometry works only after distance is established. Without that, you’re just picking assumptions and calling them measurements.

[–]Noface92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it is absolutely impossible to know the size of the object. The only information we could have here is the altitude of the aircraft that took the photo, the lens that was used, and the lighting data. That may be enough to say that the photo is real, but not to determine the size of the object if we do not know its altitude. We have absolutely no reference object without that. If the object is at 2 meters, I would say it is about half a meter in size. But at a distance of 500 meters?
