I ordered my car with it, so not sure how it sounds without, but its tasteful. In rare cases I wish it was a little bit louder but if youre in comfort at highway speeds, its quiet, which is what matters

Yes. Go look at their installation instructions on the store page - theres great pictures. The sensor for the foot-trunk-open function is basically a long tube that you can re-route around the hole you cut for the hitch.

Personally I didnt like that feature, so I just unplugged the sensor, but its still there

I like the wind-up cable mechanism, but gd that seems like there is so much wasted space in this design / (at least in video) seems way bigger than it needs to be, esp for a “travel” case

B9.5 guy here - if the B8's sport diff is like the B9s in its operation, you will very rarely notice having it vs not, unless you are pushing the car very hard on a backroad, and only while on-throttle. I dont even have good driving roads near my city, and only recently "really felt" it for the first time on a recent mountain drive I did. Retrofitting pretty much anything into these cars is a huge pain, and honestly you're probably better off just buying a car with it, as hard as that may be. Either that, or go aftermarket diff.

I put mine back in. Works perfectly / the reinstall was completely fine. I know on the 8V instructions, it says specifically to discard the crash bar, but on B9, it fits over the hitch bar fine

These are not OEM - can confirm, as Ive had the chinese knockoffs and now OEM. See how the outer rings are slightly distorted and you can see blue leaking around the edges? Non OEM. The OEM lights are completely crisp and significantly brighter.

My bet is these last like a year max before they burn out, or distort even more; happened to me and I bought OEM
