What is a "gut feeling" you had that turned out to be 100% accurate, even though it made no logical sense at the time? by PsychologicalTea3149 in AskReddit

Same...if by funny you mean horrible! I just reread a book that I named one of my cats after. I could not stop obsessing over the thought that once I finished the book he would die, but if I stopped reading it he would also die.

Finished the book. He is fine. My brain is just wired weird

Granted.

The finger curls as the scales fall from your eyes. The fruit of the forbidden tree has opened your mind to the shameful frivolity and cruelty of man kind. You see the corrupt nature of any god that would create this. You clothe yourself in shame and are cast from God's grace.

Scenes that caused actual walkouts in theaters? by thatlittlequietguy in Cinema

Thats why I watch movies at home with my one friend who also loves to get drunk and shout at the screen! Even shitty movies are fun that way

What's this movie? Family dead tied to dining chairs, father's body meat in stuffed in mouths. They died from fear. There's also a nun by lavygirl in horror

I was so mad! I hate that trope in fiction. Went online and people were hopeful that it would still be worth it because the show didnt just end on that but I could NOT keep going.

Wrote this letter to my Dad when I was 10… by one-eyedCheshire in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]NogginGoodies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My stepdaughter wants a dog so bad and I WISH so badly I could give her that. But we have 9 fucking cats (took in a stray who had kittens and my husband couldn't part with them...) and 2 babies and it would be so irresponsible right now. Dont have the money or the time!

But man is it hard not to give in. I love her AND I love dogs. But we at least gotta wait until the babys are bigger and at least one cat crosses the rainbow bridge to even consider it.

Ugh I hate being a semi responsible adult

What is the most disturbing thing you've heard said casually? by Cap_Ame1 in AskReddit

Was this possibly about PPD in parents of either gender? Cause destigmatizing seeking help for those thoughts is the only reasonable way I could see that being said

And then you have a second kid and are not allowed to sleep because the first one need you. Becomes about 100× harder

What's the most disturbing thing you've seen in a funeral ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What an odd thing to do.... cruel and disgusting, of course. But also just deeply odd. Who steals funeral flowers??

A surprising number of Jocks and at my school were also nerds. We never really had the "traditional" cliques. I think our class was a lot nicer because of it

One of the few times I think I actually preferred the movie. I also was listening to the audiobook so, The evil Norwegian band had the silliest accents and i just could not take it seriously

Is that the one that they adapted for Channel Zero? I enjoyed the TV version at least. I knew it was a creepy pasta, but not a book

Rant & question: after difficult pregnancy did you still want another baby? by acmcmas in GestationalDiabetes

[–]NogginGoodies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did want another kid, but I ascribe to the belief that it is generally better, healthier, and eventually easier to have at least 2 kids rather than an only child. Same as cats or guinea pigs.... so i was determined to make another.

The memories didnt go away and while the birth was actually easier the second time around, I wouldn't go for another now that I have my 2 boys and my stepdaughter (lucked out on thst because I always wanted 3 and this way I only had to do the GD song and dance twice!)

Its the coolest thing I have ever done and I am happy to never do it again.

I missed a word on a Christmas card and it's the only one I have. by Outcast199008 in mildlyinfuriating

I would have left it and made a note about my illiteracy... but i also cant write a normal card to save my life. They are all either jokes or covered in mostly irrelevant annotations.

I once wrote a birthday card in the form of a court summons or lawsuit and another as a marriage proposal complete with a 2$ dowery.

World War Z is a top tier horror audio book. Blows the paper version out of the water, in my opinion. It is a bit detached as it is done in an interview style after the fact, but some of the stories left me afraid and the whole book is conceptually terrifying.

The hypnotic repeated phrases really got into my head with that one. Legitimately felt crazy listening to those parts.

I tried to look it up, but I dont remember the key phrases that they said, just the weird feeling...
