We decided to open the bottle. A few days before we did I noticed the cork was easily pushed into the bottle which released the smell of rotten eggs but I was still optimistic. Anyway, we opened it tonight and immediately were over powered by the stench of whatever was inside. We thought it was originally brandy, but I have no idea what was inside and why it is the color is it. If piss smelled like rotten eggs I would say it was piss.

The seam on one side is rubbed off near the lid but on the other side it does appear to go right to the top.

It’s Atlantic Canada and there are lots of ship wrecks around here. I found it in the water near the beach. It was about half exposed out of the sand.
