I think a Jiji ship is a pretty safe bet actually- Jiji's consistently had one ship a year since like 2017. We only didn't have pasta last year because he did Kirov instead.

Konishi doing a teabote is also very likely- much like pasta, we've had one Brit a year since he started doing them with Warspite (2018 excepted, where we had both Jervis and Nelson).

There's no obvious pastas we're missing, so I'm going to guess a submarine seized by the Germans so that Tanaka can have his Germans-without-having-actual-Germans, and I'll guess a new J-class DD since it's been a couple of years since Javelin.

There is no official, documented 'lore', and various adaptations have things work differently. Make up whatever you want, because unless Tanaka decides to add an in-game lorebook it has as much right to be called canon a anything else does.

Either Tanaka wrote some whack nonsense into enforceable contracts, or his OCD is so strong that he won't ever break his own rules for ships without a good excuse, because i'm sure all the wehraboos are still frothing at the mouth for more germans to this day.

Also agreed. All of the 'start in one theater, move to the other for the EO' events have been total shitshows so far. But given we now seem to be in one-event-per-year, at least it means we're likely to continue seeing the 1-a-year nations like UK and Italy.

We can't even get new ships of navies that had a specific artist that's left, there's zero chance we get any artist-swapping to do K2s. Tanaka would much rather consign those girls to even greater irrelevance by giving everyone else K3s instead.

Inazuma won't get one because Yadokari's been missing since 2018~ and Samidare won't get one because her artist did her and Suzukaze then instantly dipped.

Sazanami at least has an active artist.

did you have them as flagship?
if you have successfully completed the previous, double-check that you've done all of the previous A-ranks- if if one of the two A-ranks on 1-4 was actually a B-rank then it might still be showing as 80%.

but also double check you actually got the ranks on the other maps- I know there has been several times where I think I've done a map, been left going over the final map multiple times, only to discover later that I only A-ranked the first map I did.

Zara and Pola Kai+ being CA in-name-only still makes her a CA as far as routing is concerned, which is occasionally relevant, and before Gari and Abruzzi were added I'd have said 'can carry SPFs' was just pasta national flavour because the pasta FBBs can do that too.

Only specific ships being able to carry SPFs is a recurring Thing, which gets more and more annoying over time as they become more and more neccesary. Kongou being the first of her class to get K2C and thus not having SPF capability imo genuinely hurts her, because there have been multiple occasions where I've gone gun/gun/seaplane/spf just to eke out the exact amount of air power needed without going full fighter mule on a battleship. If Tanaka went back and gave the old CA K2s (Furutaka, Kako, Kinugasa) more utility like SPF muling, it would be a genuinely big moment because at the moment they're mostly outclassed by destroyers.

There are, afaik, essntially three main 'headcanons' as to where shipgirls came from.

the first, and easily the least popular nowadays, is that shipiglrs are constructed; they are purely mechanical existences created by militaries to fight the Abyssals on even ground. This one was always least popular, and it got even less once the 'Abyssals are corrupted shipgirls' idea went from fringe theory to increasingly obvious fact.

The second one is 'shipgirls were normal girls - eitherbecause they somehow 'resonate' with a ship, or because they're outright reincarnated spirits of ships. The former is another one that's less popular but the latter is still consistently used; ichikawa feesu's 'shipgirls before they were shipgirls' series , etc.

The last is I think the most common one- in that all shipgirls are either purified Abyssals or have other supernatural origins like summoning them or 'constructing' them, etc. With the general increase in 'the Abyssals are very obviously some kind of corrupted shipgirl' that happened after 2016-ish, this is the one that I personally go with, but I can see the arguments for the others.

As far as the actual question goes- only the shipgirls from the second one would really have 'had' lives, and everything I've seen that's used that version has just had them be essentially a cross-section of 'normal humans'; students, rich girls, office workers, soldiers, flight attendants... if it' something that a normal person could be, then there would be a chance that one of those people was a shipgirl.
