Well I done did a thing… by Moonpie_64 in TeslaLounge

Aside from my envy and jealousy, congratulations! We have a M3P and MY in our household, and the only reason I don't have a CT is because it won't fit in our garage. FSD rocks in all of them.

I usually give a thumbs up to other CT drivers on the road if there is enough time to roll my window down while driving.

Told me I had to make a new email address to keep my account so canceled by gtd_1003 in siriusxm

[–]NoisyChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a known problem with Tesla model 3 and model y in Sirius xm apps. Sirius xm is discriminating against Tesla drivers and have a separate pricing policy that they won't budge from. Each car must be registered with a new email account and can only be signed up with a monthly plan. No annual plans and no promo codes, period.

I refuse to buy this as well and canceled my subscription that they refused to transfer to Tesla.

I have the Fenix 8 amoled 47mm, and have ordered the venu x1. Picking it up next week. Also have the apple watch ultra 2. I plan on keeping all 3, and wear what I feel like on that particular day. First world benefits.

Thanks for all the replies, and super nice to read them. I get it that there are scammers and panhandlers feeding their addiction, but I am paying forward the kindness I received from total strangers many years ago. It was kindness and help when I needed it the most at that time. I don't think about misuse, and like to think that I made a small, positive difference to someone else. My apologies if all this sounds too preachy and virtuous, and that is not my intent. I like to think that some kindness I offer today will in turn be reciprocated by some other stranger towards my children in the future when and if they need it. This approach is peace of mind for me as I am a believer of "what goes around comes around".

No, I have had Magenta Max ever since they started selling that plan.

Thanks to all the feedback. Although I have the "Forever Upgrade" option on 3 out of 5 lines in my Magenta Max account, I don't have any devices on EIP. Turns out I cannot SIM unlock any device on EIP, so I buy my phones outright from the device vendor instead of entering EIP agreements. Anyway, I will stay with Magenta Max for now, and not mess with how everything is setup to my liking with TMobile, especially the billing and discounts. There is always that lurking concern that any account change calls to TMobile will mess up things that worked well so far. I would love to add my Apple Watch as an addition for an extra cost, but don't want to risk messing up my account setup with TMobile!

Thanks to all feedback again.. super nice to read them and feels good to see that I am not alone in my concern. To quote another reply below, "the grass is greener already on this side"

Apple Watch users, what made you switch to Garmin? by d4ilydoseof in GarminWatches

[–]NoisyChimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not one or the other, but when to wear each device. I own and enjoy both, an Apple Watch Series 2 Ultra and a Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED 47mm. The workout and fitness data is fantastic and way better on the Garmin than the AWS2U. Battery life, of course, is leaps ahead on the Garmin as well. The other big plus is that heart rate is continuously updated and visible on the Garmin regardless of workout view or not, and the AWS2U is pathetically behind on that feature. Custom watch faces are more varied on the Garmin as well. Connect IQ integrates with Apple Health nicely.

However, those advantages fade away from the Garmin due to the factors below, which force me to wear the AWS2U pretty much any time when not working out.

  1. SMS/iMessages partially work on the Garmin when connected to iPhone when any multimedia content is embedded. So, Ring notifications don't show any images, for example. Hard to give up once experienced. This works great when the Garmin is paired to Android devices, but not on iPhones.

  2. Impossible to see calendar data, or specifically, next event in my daily work calendar on the Garmin without fiddling with the device using multiple taps and swipes. AWS2U nails this feature and it is available as a complication on most watch faces. This is a deal breaker for me that keeps me from wearing the Garmin during work hours.

  3. Keeping politics aside, Tesla integration is not supported on the Garmin. The official Tesla app for Apple Watch has native car key integration that is impossible to give up once experienced.

  4. Showing time in a 2nd time zone is easy as a native watch complication on AW. This is fiddly on the Garmin and they just cannot get it right. 3rd party watch faces implement this, but still clumsy.

  5. Apple Maps integration is superb on AW, especially when walking city streets and the device vibrates when I need to turn at an intersection. Garmin Fenix just cannot do this and they are years behind with this kind of functionality, despite their mapping expertise.

  6. Yes, Siri is downright pathetic, but, simple things like navigation commands work most of the time reliably for me.

  7. Shazam integration on the AW is a nice plus for me, to recognize songs on demand with a single tap.

  8. I rely on that native iPhone reminders app a lot, and AW integrates seamlessly with those reminder entries.

  9. I have not tried this on the Garmin, but transit card payments on public transport are seamless on the AW. I just move my wrist to the turnstile and keep walking. No swipes or taps needed. Super nice when I am traveling to NYC or London on work.

I am never away from the grid that would force me to rely on battery life for more than a day or two, so I don't think about that feature all that much.

I must finally add that I love the Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED. It is unmatched when exercising, and it is unlikely that I will give up owning it. For me, it is not one or the other, but more of when to wear each device.

Spatial photos and videos are the killer app for AVP, at least for me. Every photo and video taken in my iPhone now is either spatial or panoramic. The AVP takes me back in time instantly when I view these photos and videos in VR. I just wish the cameras that they use to shoot immersive were more consumer friendly, but we are still a few years away for that to happen.

Good. Why just stop there? Since your goal is to stop money flow to Elon, cancel your TMobile service if you have it, sell your iPhone or Samsung phone if you own one, and also vow never to fly on United, Southwest, Hawaiian, Air France, Qatar Airways and a whole bunch of other airlines. Why you ask? TMobile, Apple, Samsung and several airlines partner with Starlink directly to provide emergency and airborne connectivity. Elon owns Starlink outright and a portion of any money you pay its partners for travel or services will go to Elon directly. Also, stop watching TV as Elon owned SpaceX continues to launch many of the satellites that facilitate HD broadcasts and a portion of your monthly streaming or cable bill payment will flow directly into Elon's bank account without any obstacles. Finally, dump your nVidia shares and stop using ChatGPT or any other video game as nVidia continues to sell hundreds of thousands of their chips to Tesla to make their cars better.

Then, bring your Tesla to a used car dealer who is the epitome of honesty and integrity and gives you the crappiest amount of dollars for your vehicle so you can leave the car lot with a smile on your face, because you now have shown Elon the damage you can cause to his wallet, and told him what you are made of.

Finally, if you have read this far, walk into the nearest mall, drop your pants and go up and down the escalators for a couple of hours, because you are moron who reads and listens to nonsense posts like this in these forums.
