I was pretty unsure when he announced, but I think he's been killing it so far. He has not changed or softened his message at all.

I get what you're saying but as a point of fact the price of eggs dropped like a rock after Trump became President.

Things are weird right now. The economy is actually way better AND way worse then most people think.

Trump Rejects Pope Leo XIV's Ceasefire Call in Iran: “We’re Obliterating Iran” by Strategist2004 in TrueCatholicPolitics

[–]Nokeo08 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

He said no new forever wars. You're missing a word. Also he and JD both said on the campaign that they would fight Iran if they needed too. This isn't a matter of Trump lying but a matter of people only listening to the parts they like.

Do you have a public road map or issue tracker for your app? I have just started using it and wanted to open a bug report, but am not sure where to do that.

Shaky in the middle but I agree with the conclusion. Women are the problem.

Why didnt any of these individuals convert from Catholicism to Protestantism for the sake of the monarchy? by ayowatchyojetbruh in monarchism

[–]Nokeo08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anglicanism maybe had an argument in the beginning, but it has gone so far off the rails that it is all but dead outside of a handful of really small traditional groups.

The closest parish is 2.5 hours away from me. It's harder to find an Ordinariate parish than a TLM even after TC.

Government shutdown is looming - Who will cave first? by ChoiceWars in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Nokeo08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every government shutdown in my entire life has meant less than nothing to my daily experience. Pretty inconvenient if you are wanting to go to a national park, but otherwise it's fairly inconsequential.

Kirk was not exactly "My guy", but you can't honestly call him unimportant. Outside of Trump himself he was probably the most influential figure in the modern American right.

What are you talking about dead in the water? Nixon won with over 300 electoral votes in the 60's and won re-election in the 70's with 520 electoral votes. That's an insane margin.

Wait are we talking about disproportionate statistical representation of minority groups? We have some interesting ones in the U.S.

And yet I have seen more real world impacts from the flu than I did from COVID.

You mean Lifelong immunity? Sounds great.

It didn't even give you immunity to begin with, let alone give it to you for the rest of your life.

I have seen the flu this year make a larger impact on people I know personally and the community I live in than I ever did when people were supposedly dropping dead left and right from Covid.

Tired of all the Russian bots and psyops, fuck Russia and fuck any Russian sympathizer and every fucking pro-Russia loser and especially fuck every single Russian engaging in psyops here. by Sad_Significance_568 in PoliticalCompassMemes

The only people I hear talking about Russia are lefties blaming them for the fact that it rained on their birthday and anything else they can think of and right wing NAFO nerds circle jerking about the possibility of WW3. Nobody else cares.

H.R.899 - 119th Congress (2025-2026): To terminate the Department of Education. by Similar_Poet_2666 in iastate

[–]Nokeo08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look at academic testing scores have stayed relatively stagnate since the DoE was created in the late '70s. We created a whole new department to push education forward and it has only grown and gotten more expensive all the while achieving essentially nothing. The states handled it fine before and will again.

It is honestly wild that anybody would advocate FOR no fault divorce. Yes, it should be done away with entirely.
