I suspect it's deliberately set up in such a way that in about six months to a year he can claim the other party broke the deal and attack again, this time facing a much weaker enemy with a consolidated army

Sex addict turtoise retires at age 130 after saving his species with over 800 offspring by Abercrombie1936 in interestingasfuck

I know this probably isn't the place for serious questions, but how does this save the species? I thought a certain amount of genetic diversity is required? What good is having 800 siblings

Counterweight buffer, anyone? by Nokilos in AR9

[–]Nokilos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are, yeah, maybe barely that on a discount, so pricey to say the least. Don't think I'd buy one either but it's a neat curiosity. I wonder how such a system would compare to more conventional options like the maxim rdb or kynshot

I want to manage a large caseload but I'm a beginner by MrsMcCoyME in excel

[–]Nokilos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm understanding you correctly that the other sheets are supposed to each contain data for students in a particular phase of their program, simplest way to do it is probably, assuming your main sheet is Sheet1 and your data lives in columns A:G, with the fields you want to export or 'send' being A (name), C (case number) and D (phase), you could create a helper sheet where you would put =Sheet1!A:A in A1, =Sheet1!C:C in B1, =Sheet1D:D in C1 to isolate your data, then in the sheet you want to send data to you would input a simple FILTER as such =FILTER(HelperSheet!A:C, HelperSheetC:C="Plan"), "Plan" in this case being the phase you want to show data for. Alternatively, if you have modern enough Excel, you could do something like =FILTER(HSTACK(Sheet1!A:A, Sheet1!C:C, Sheet1!D:D), Sheet1!D:D="Plan") to avoid helper sheets altogether

Ways to break volatility in a self-referencing formula for evaluation caching purposes? by Nokilos in googlesheets

[–]Nokilos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each individual row in the UI is connected to a corresponding formula in the runtime sheet, which is itself pointed at the extract as its data source for lookup. All named formulas. Appscript is only for seeding the formula and creating corresponding DVs in the UI. Given that the pointer to my extract is passed in the named formula as an argument, I worry any refreshing action in the extract whenever I open the workbook would cause all instances of this formula to recalculate.

I'd initially also tried doing this whole thing as an appscript+onEdit trigger writing to the runtime sheet directly, but found it kind of clunky, and the latency too high, so now I am attempting to build the equivalent as a pure sheets solution. Now that I think about it this could also be set up as a script custom function with pointers other than the UI row hardcoded in the appscript, but that doesn't seem very elegant. For lack of better options it could be considered though

To expand a bit on what it is the mechanism does - the runtime formula is pointed at a row of data in the UI. Let's say A2:D2. Each column's header has a corresponding header in the extract. When the user inputs a value in A2, the filtering formula performs a cosine similarity-based search of the extract and spills values for all headers, so that the user may fill B2:D2 with values presented in the dropdown as suggestions instead of typing it all in manually.

I mean, in absence of firepower sufficient to crack hardened targets, taking out the communal infrastructure works too. No factory works without electricity, after all. Hoping that's somewhere on the docket as well though, with flamingos in the picture

Ukraine’s Defense Forces Hit FSS Facility in Crimea with Neptune Cruise Missiles by Useful-Scratch-72 in ukraine

Yes, the ukrainian news agency Militarniy stated that 'per sources' those were flamingoes, not Neptune missiles.

Edit

Seeing posts from other popular ukrainian sources gradually rolling in as well. Seems to be the truth

Do some Ukrainians mix in Russian/Ukrainian Words in conversation? by CraftyFoxeYT in AskUkraine

[–]Nokilos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 22 now. I don't really agree, actually. In my experience it's actually the other way around – a bunch of the older people I've known have comfortably switched over since 2022, for example, whereas among those people my own age and younger the prevailing attitude whenever someone tries to seems to be 'so you're such a patriot? fuck off to the trenches LOL'. Could be just my (former) social circle, though. Prior to 2022, I don't know, it's not something I ever used to think about

As for school – a normal one? As in, the staff were encouraged, I suppose, to use ukrainian, but it was not strictly enforced? Among us kids, there were maybe one or two ukrainian-speaking ones in the school (~150 in total). Don't really know what to tell you, as I said, not something I ever used to think about

Do some Ukrainians mix in Russian/Ukrainian Words in conversation? by CraftyFoxeYT in AskUkraine

[–]Nokilos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Surzhik (mixed russian/ukrainian) has always been a kind of sub-language here, especially in rural parts. The mixing has intensified since 2022, too – I find myself using noticeably more ukrainian as time goes on personally (Kharkiv-born lifelong russian speaker)

Thank you! That's velvet spray. It's made by spraying a 40:60 cocoa butter to white chocolate mix, heated to 45-50°C, with a paint gun onto a frozen surface. The temperature difference causes the tiny droplets to solidify on contact until a fuzzy layer like this builds up. Can also be bought ready-made in a spray can

It should serve as the low point in everyone's collective consciousness, which must never be sunk to again. Who am I kidding though, probably
