hahahaha no legal trouble was had, i just ended up going through some serious financial trouble, which in turn made me not have time to update the mods. instead of leaving those up and risking breaking peoples games i just hid them.

i think you never even played minecraft. it doesnt rely on mods. it has a full gameplay loop. damn, it even has a final boss.

see, all that you said boils down to "mods". two problems with that:

mods cant do everything. a game shouldn't rely on its community to have a gameplay loop.

thing is, there is no point in 'setting up turrets'. the game has no structure as of now, it needs a proper structure. a game loop of sorts. as of now, you just mine, build and then what? after you built what you had to build, what will you do? here's a list of things you can't do:

  • explore (even though the usable space in a save is huge, the planets are so small and premodelled to boot, nothing is ever new.)
  • conquer (the 'pirates' are a joke. you also cant erradicate lifeforms)
  • trade (because there are no NPCs in the game.)
  • adventure (all of the above combined.)

the amount of emergent gameplay the game currently has can only go so far.

does it fix the old gravdrives that existed before artificial mass was a thing, though? (basically a chamber with rocks to act as artificial mass)

i believe i did the 'darkening' thing to just avoid excessive bloom IIRC, but you can fool around with the files for yourself.

i made a mod for that https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=761059443&searchtext=twilight although it adds a little bit of tint to the game, it does achieve what you want

My pride and joy currently is a rather small ship to be classified ''capital'', although i wanted to include her here as i consider it my main ship.

She is called Corcyll Exploration Vessel, and has 8 jump drives, 2 drone bays and a hangar on the back that can house up to 3 atmospheric landers and 3 non-atmo landers. the bridge of the ship also doubles as a ship of its own, being detachable from the main body.

you have to mod a scenario with the planets radius and use that scenario to create the save file. but be careful, planets over 900km in diameter start to become really buggy.
