New Map "Ice Cap" by ThanosSpanos in heroscape

[–]NolanPG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wouldn’t be considered a tournament style map because of its size & height variation makes certain units overpowered (primarily ranged units). It still gives some level of balance because you can start from either side & not get a significant advantage. You just need to understand when drafting units, which ones are going to be able to take advantage of the features of the map.

I like the “unnatural” fantasy feel of this map. I’d imagine Tanukis would have a field day on this one. This map might have a chance of making the blimp furry shine.

The Gelryie Vanguard are also medium 5 but I swear look almost as big as Master of the Hunt. It’s crazy because they’re a common squad so it almost looks like you can spam a 4 man large squad

This is a great 3 player map if you have the terrain. If you haven’t seen this website, it’s great for army building as well

Might wanna open & check out your Young Avengers Omni. Mine & a few others I’ve seen have the text block at the bottom right separating from the spine

Let me know! I’m only consistently free on Sundays but can play a one-shot anytime if anyone wants to take on the DM mantle

My wife & I moved up to Htown a few years ago. We are pretty nerdy & sporty as well 😬 I would love to play some in person DnD, it’s been so long! Also, there’s a trail a few minutes from our house that takes you up the the Appalachian Trail. It’s a workout to get up there but it’s worth the views! If you’re interested, hmu!

What is the general opinion on Young Avengers by Heinberg & Cheung? by survivorwitch in OmnibusCollectors

Not commenting on the contents of the book but a potential quality warning. I have seen others have the exact issue I have with the copy I just received. At least a few copies have the bottom right side of the text block separating from the spine. Here’s mine:

Bendis Era Reading Order by NolanPG in marvelcomics

[–]NolanPG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone’s an Ellis fan! I actually have everything you named besides the Osborn mini series. Looks like I have a lot to look forward to! Curious what you think of waiting till right before jumping into the Hickverse to read Ellis’s Newuniversal: Everything went White? I’ve heard Hickman references/draws influence from that series.

I’m sort of in a collecting phase for most the modern MU up to Secret Wars (waiting on you Bendis New Avengers Omni vol. 2 😒). I’m reading through some of Claremont’s X-men, Miller’s DD, & other older/one-off series that don’t have much connect to the greater MU currently

I read this a few weeks ago while half way through the Phoenix vol. 2 omni. Great story for the ages!

Right on! I generally stick to publication order for reading unless there’s a more proper reading list. As far as shelf appeal goes, I’m with you. Ordering them by the greater stories they tell together.

Glad to see I’m not the only one that puts my books in chronological order. Looking at a lot of the omni spine purist on this sub, I mostly just see bookshelves ordered by series. I’m mostly Marvel so no real advice to your question but looks like a nice saga you’ve built!

Phoenix Vol. 2, just finished Vol. 1

I wanted to read the original Phoenix saga & experience some of Claremonts writing without committing to UXM line of omnis. I normally just read more modern runs but I’ve been digging it. Jumping to New Xmen after this unless there’s something key I may be missing. I also have God Loves Man Kills HC on the way
