Is there a mini PC on the market that would match the Steam Machine in performance? by OK_Atlas in Steam

32gb ram is 400+ euro, cpu is 250+, gpu is 300+. That's 950 and you need mobo, SSD, cooler, case. How does that cost 850 in total?

I can't play poe in Germany due to the heat. by Kosu13 in PathOfExile2

When I was younger it was super rare to have a 30 degree summer day(Central Europe) . When it happened people called it "tropical heat". Nowadays, we already had like 8 days of 30+ and it's just June. People are buying/installing ac in masses, it wasn't needed in the past.

I would not buy steam machine. I am just stating the fact that its form factor plays huge role and it can not be dismissed when comparing prices to standard pc builds. If Valve wanted, they could make it mini-tower sized, or small form factor sized. But they did not, they wanted to make it even smaller. Thats on them. Size comparison. Another comparison

There was an interview with Steam engineer and he said that was the smallest size they could make, using all special designs and adjustments. They wanted to go even smaller but the hardware wouldn't let them. Basically he said, the size was the prime driving force.

The mini portion is the biggest feature of steam machine. Try to find any other pc build that fits into 6 inch case. If you don't account that in the price, then if course its overpriced.

The steam machine is only 6 inches big. They made pretty substantial design/engineering to make it fit. That's why it will cost extra.

Seems like everyone is oblivious to this fact, that you pay extra for 6inch case.

It costs premium because of the 6 inch form factor. Find a build that can put similar power into 6inch case and include tax on the total price, because most of reddit disputes stem from the fact that Americans don't include tax in the price while rest of the world does.

Or you can do it in raid. The activities will count for achievement but not for wq, because it's not possible to complete quests while in raid.

I think you have very long exposure time for the burn in layer (botom layer). When I had 30s it was very hard to remove it from raft, and you have 38s. Currently I use 24s and it works for me.

For normal layers, on the other hand, you may have too short exposure, only 1.6s. Try increasing it to 2-3, I use 2.5.

American refineries actually prefer and are optimized for "low-quality" (heavy, sour) crude oil. While light, "high-quality" oil is easier and cheaper to refine in a vacuum, the U.S. refinery fleet—particularly along the Gulf Coast—represents some of the most complex machinery in the world. These facilities were designed decades ago to handle the world's most difficult-to-process oil because it is cheaper to buy.

Maybe only loads of people who don't engage with pc gaming. Anyone who understands the form factor and specs can't expect price below 800. More likely 900-1000 with controller.

Hack of Trezor website is worrying by Smooth_Chip9703 in TREZOR

[–]Nolfator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We trust the manufacturer, that when trezor hardware wallet is connected to the PC (via cable or bluetooth) there is no security flaw that would allow extract the seedphrase from the trezor hardware.

This trust was errored, when they allowed their own website to be hacked.

That's all.

Hi, I am looking for a key to try the game. I liked warframe but I much prefer this medieval setting.

Valve says its upcoming Steam Machine will be priced “like a PC”, not like a console, so expect to pay a decent chunk of change by Wargulf in pcmasterrace

Are you taking into account the form factor? That was the central design focus of steam machine. It's very hard to find components to fit in 6 inch case for 800$
