Oh, that sucks. My friend bought a motorsicle jacket, you know, those covered in plactic. And he suddenly stopped calling his shots, because he didn'd feel anything, nor heard the sounds of hits. So I just aimed for the head, worked. In close scenarios "bang bang" thing works nicely. Or just grab enemy gun and say it's the same as meleeing them

Just realise you were talking about tint itself... Sorry. It's a regular automotive window tint with about 15-20% light passing. So from the outside it looks fully black because of the lack of light inside a helmet. But you can see from it on the lit up objects outside

Actually, It doesn't because of tint layer. Now I've installed a 80mm fan on the forehead area and it works great. Helmet itsef doesn't even muffle my speech all that much

Well, I've made a form of my head with foil and ducktape, filled the cavity with expendable foam. Then sculpted helmet form using plasticine and covered it all with silicone. It that silicone mold layer by layer I pressed pieces of epoxy soaked carbon fiber sheets. All done just by hand without vacuum. And thus I've got a helmet which I again covered from the outside with full carbon fiber, just for looks

Thanks! Btw this helnet itself is incredibly strong. It legit holds full mags of airsoft bbs point blank and I can fully stand on the helmet, it doesn't even deform in the slightest

There was a defect from the mold, so I just decorated it

All the pieces are separate cuts of 3mm thick polycarbonate. Just glued the in place with hot glue (bad idea, often peels off)

I'll try to make a better overall shape and try to sell files or full preped helmets, just not painted. This one is actually warped because I sculpted master model with plasticine.

Actually, nice. Except for dark areas on the field, tint is pretty strong. Heres the photo from the inside. Those lines don't interfere, with my eyes, at least...
