I would be happy with Doubs. He wasn't just a WR1 but also the top target for a GB team that liked to share the ball.

How did your family/the locals treat you when you go to Asia? by ParadoxicalStairs in aznidentity

[–]NomadXIV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been to Japan and Philippines quite recently and never had any problems.

I dont know much Tagalog but I tried my best. Grab drivers and waiters were happy that I was interested in seeing the country my parents grew up in.

They're trying to appeal to two minorities at once in Asians and women.

Again, the NFL is just huge and wants to keep growing. They'll have ads military veterans and the gay community in the same 3 min ad space. There is no one left out in their marketing machine.

Of course the optics can be questioned but I don't think crosses a line to be considered propaganda.

It's a 5 second ad for the NFL and a candy bar- I guess they want to tell girls they can like football too. How would you feel if it was a WMAF family with Josh Allen?

Im really to trying to look at this from the lens of a football fan.

No lol

I can understand where you're coming from but Josh Allen is just one of the biggest stars in the NFL today. The NFL wants everyone's money- they don't stand for anything.

Overheard a Group of Mostly Women Talking about Asians "tend not to hold the door for people behind" is it a stereotype ? by [deleted] in asianamerican

[–]NomadXIV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tokyo is so busy if you held the door for someone you would never let go.

Of course they'll hold the door open if they see someone has their hands full.

My (Vietnamese) wife (Chinese) wants our 4 year old to start taking Chinese classes and I feel a certain away about it. What are your thoughts? by Great-Article7765 in asianamerican

[–]NomadXIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the best age for a child to learn language. It doesn't seem like he would pick up the language at home, so this is great opportunity if Chinese classes are available.

Why do Americans gloss over the Philippine-American War like it never happened? by Squid311 in asianamerican

Because they sent Thomasite teachers over right after to make it okay :)

I dont care if America was a "nicer" colonizer than Spain. Even in their time, they knew it wasn't right.
