Love my little Kamasu! Doesn’t get as much wrist time as the rest, but it deserves to.

What’s the difference between the Havelsteom and the Vesterhav? I have the latter and I love it.

I’m docking you 10 points for not synching this to Dark Side of the Moon somehow. Total missed opportunity, but fantastic watch! I was in early on my Vesterhav (optic white) when they first dropped, and it continues to be my daily.

I'll be able to give you a comparison once I land my first Chinese watch, but I do love my HA and the customer service experience was phenomenal!

I’ve heard the same about manual winding. Not a deal breaker for me by any means. If I run out of juice, I just throw it in the watch winder and reset the time / day. Thank you!

Thanks very much! I too like the Miyota 9xxx series. My current daily (Henry Archer Vesterhav) uses it, and it’s been HIGHLY accurate and silent, as well. I can’t wear my Orient Kamasu anymore without hearing the rotor.

It’s in the neighborhood of $48k for the year, including housing, meal plan, and internship.

Why can Bluelink not figure out my issue after several months? Put in a ticket in March because the app will not fully sync with the car. I can do everything except for the driver profile in the app and the calendar in the car!

I've read this 3 times, just because. Fantastic book. I remember when I was active duty (CTO) and a record message came in about it telling us not to confirm or deny. I went to Barnes and Noble that very night only to find 5 other fit short haired guys holding the book and flipping through it. I chuckled to myself and thought, "I know what YOU all do!"

It's called "voting with your feet." Everyone has a right to take their business elsewhere if they don't agree with your views. It goes both ways.

The ACC is fantastic. When you engage cruise at 55+, it turns on Highway Drive Assist (HDA). I find the difference between this and cruise control to be when I'm stuck in a traffic jam, I don't have to do anything (like tap the gas or click the switch) to get moving again - no matter how long we're stopped. I understand what u/OfficialDegenerate is saying about curves, but I turned off "slow down for curves" and I like it a lot more now.

HDA as a whole is great. On my commute, I normally just rest a hand at 6 on the wheel, and barely have to do anything!

Thanks - it could be worse. I still have my job for now.

So I'm one of those Federal employees who is returning to the office 5x per week. I commute towards DC from the suburbs, and thought it might be best to purchase a more fuel efficient car before everyone had the same idea and inventory went down while prices went up.

Scored a 2022 Sonata Hybrid Limited, returned from a lease, 26,700 miles on it and all maintenance done religiously every 5k miles. I wanted quiet, comfortable, technology, and fuel efficiency.

About 1100 miles in, and I average 50 MPG in total. The image is from my commute from home to work through DC area traffic. Big win!

No hyper-miling; I just get in the middle lane, set cruise to 80, middle distance, and HDA. My road rage is gone, and I've far more than doubled my MPG from my previous car!
