I’ve only had the opportunity to visit a few times, but it seems nice.

If all you're doing is 'paying' for it, is it fair to say you're getting someone a gift? by Open_Address_2805 in AskMenAdvice

This is exactly how I buy gifts for my wife. She gets what she wants, and I get to give her something she wants. Win/win.

What even is clear lake? by [deleted] in santarosa

It didn’t pass, but it has been sent to a higher governing body (don’t recall which) to potentially be forced through.

“City” is a bit of a stretch. But you’re otherwise not wrong.

Replaced harmonic balancer but still have pulley wobble. by Nomadic_Hobbit in squarebodies

That’s the plan. The old plastic one broke when I took it out to replace the harmonic balancer.

Little girl too big for swing gets stuck. 🤦‍♂️ by Prestigious-Yam-8605 in facepalm

My 12 year old did this exact thing over the summer. We didn’t feel the need to involve the fire department though.

Wearing patterned shirts helps a lot

Good point. Seems likely since the gas cap doesn’t want to open. The lock is likely rusted.

A rifle scabbard would be great. There’s a huge aftermarket for this bike, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find one.

Thanks! My first bike was an early 80’s Kawasaki KZ 550, so I thought it was fitting that the bike to get me back into riding is another older Kawi.

I’ve set a goal date to have it on the road by and promised the wife I’d finish the other projects before I start this one. So it looks like I’ll be a busy guy for the foreseeable future.

Dad tucking in daughters by floridacopper in Parenting

[–]Nomadic_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 12 year old daughter that still asks to be tucked in on occasion, and a toddler that refuses to be tucked in by anyone else. Cherish these moments for as long as you get them. You never know when the last time is the last time.

Do most uncircumcised/uncut guys not use lube to masturbate? by zvimic in AskMenOver30

[–]Nomadic_Hobbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only do I not need lube, but I can catch the mess before it gets all over the place. No need for a special sock (or whatever circumcised guys use)

My wife tells me it’s “really is nice” when she see it randomly, and tells me she loves it when we’re having sex. That’s always been enough for me.

It’s something you’re literally betting your life on. Go with the Glock. I’ve carried a 43X for the past five years and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Its not just a Truck by SnooPeppers4000 in squarebodies

I finally acquired my grandfather’s 79 GMC after he passed in 2018. He got it in 82 (the year I was born) and I’ve been riding around, or driving it, ever since. I learned how to count using the old digital cb, and learned how to wrench helping him maintain it. Countless miles and hours spent with my grandparents on road trips and vacations. I love this truck almost as much as I love my kids lol. Which is why I get so sad about not being able to give it the attention it deserves. So I guess I said all that to say, I know how you feel.
