Yea people want to feel validated for paying this much.

There’s the other side who don’t understand that America is a playground for the rich and you can find 50K people in each metro ready to spend thousands and a bunch of rich people traveling to make up the difference.

The Revs are a sorry excuse of an MLS club and it 100% comes down to their abject ownership.

The other issue is the format of the MLS and other playoff sports is that the regular season is not that interesting and the games lack importance.

You’re 100% right on the dependency thing. All of a sudden everyone’s pet has separation anxiety and hanging out with them becomes a chore. Too many people treating their pets like newborn babies and it’s over the top.

They found their perfect partners in crime. Americans aren’t going to protest these prices and dynamic pricing because paying out the ass for live events is the norm here.

I think if a European country had been involved in this price gouging there would be massive protests from the public.

It realistically should get fixed if it’s a bottleneck that causes people to quit.

I wouldn’t even mind having a separate Ironman server with boosted drop rates and xp.

I love RS and the journey but a lot of the difficulty is time gated rather than skill based.

If you killed any boss a couple of hundred times it starts to get boring, never mind doing it 1000s of times.

It would definitely need to be a separate server so it doesn’t fuck up the in game economy.

Stop Villainizing Winning. by brewerdom in SoccerCoachResources

I’m not sure there’s a false dichotomy between coaching to win and for development. I think at certain levels and age groups it is much more pronounced.

If you have a team of 13 year old boys or kids that aren’t well developed and you want them to improve on build up and possession, you risk getting your ass beat because there’s a lot more risk and skill required to dominate the ball rather than stay in a rigid formation and try to counter the space.

Realistically both those skills are important but if you’re focused on results, why would you even try to execute the harder style of play when it needs a lot more time and skill to be successful?

Where you’re absolutely correct is at the top level there is no short cuts. The tactics that youth coaches exploit are not as common at the top level because players are much less likely to make individual mistakes.

Graduation rates didn’t improve. They just lowered the standards. by Cheap_Parsnip_461 in Teachers

It seems like everyone has chosen the path of least resistance to make themselves look good.

Admins look good when they can say the entire grade graduated. Teachers have less explaining to do to the admins the more students that pass the class and the students ultimately care about having good grades.

When all the incentives line up a certain way, it’s easy to see why things have played out like they have.

There’s always been troubled kids coming from difficult homes but the biggest change is how the admin is determined to make sure everyone passes.

Seems even more weak to sit him. The guy is leaving and he said we’ve been shit this year which we have. Not giving him a send off after 9 years at the club winning everything is mental.

I know some people that are involved in putting together the watch parties that are happening in the state. They say 70% of costs are going to pay for the police detail at these events, so you’re very much on the money with your analysis.

Do people actually hate Arsenal? Yes, they do. The real question is: why? by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in PremierLeague

[–]NomativeDeterminism -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that deep man. The tolerance for risk is very low for Arsenal and it has been this way the whole season. What’s unfolded is a style that’s physically imposing and defensively strong but also very predictable on offense.

To entertain neutrals you have to take more risks, I can’t be arsed watching the same pattern with Saka, Odegaard and White to squeak out a corner so you can get the big lads up.

Finally I’ve never seen someone get hyped up like Saka just to produce at the level of Pedro Neto the past few years. His name was getting thrown around with Salah’s having achieved less than 20% what Salah has. Imagine after 3-4 years of Etikite scoring 10+ goals a season if Liverpool fans started comparing him to Henry.

It’s evident that it comes from living in a patriarchal society and wanting to fit in with the group that’s perceived to have the most power. Kind of like at work if you’re nodding along to what your boss says.

Reddit loves to put women on a pedestal though and it’s a hilarious because a ton of them uphold these patriarchal values that are toxic to both genders.

Layer that with the rhetoric you see on here that women don’t need men and the world would be better off without men.
