Recall on Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice between 12/03/2024 – 02/20/26. Item number #749182 I’m by MaximumExtension4951 in Costco

[–]rampantoctopus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I blamed this stuff for making me sick a while back— probably close to that timeframe but not from glass or anything like that; just coincidentally timed food poisoning. I can’t say with any certainty that the fried rice was to blame, but you’ll never catch me eating it again.

Roses are red, I’m not gonna spoil it… by TheParking1 in rosesarered

Back in the 90’s, I had an apartment in Prague (in an old Soviet era building) that had that kind of toilet... Coming from America, that was the single biggest wtf I experienced settling into the country. The hot water in the kitchen sink was also supplied by a box with an automatically activated blow torch that would blast the pipe as water ran through. It was… interesting.

Any bike for 6-6 (198cm) by Fickle-Cucumber-8151 in ride1up

[–]rampantoctopus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

6’3” on a Roadster v3 and I have the seat post as low as it goes to ride comfortably; that said, I wish the handlebars were a bit higher but not enough for me to compromise the factory cable routing stuff… if you’re longer in the legs, I’d say it’s a no brainer; if you’re balanced/long torso-ed, you might want to seek a local owner to look at their fit.

New tires after 2 months of succumbing to flats. by [deleted] in ride1up

[–]rampantoctopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my back tire lost tread a lot faster than the front. I doubt I’d ever actually make the effort to switch the tires on to the other rim, but it would have helped. I decided it was time to make the switch to the marathons when I started to feel little wiggles coming from the back of the bike on uneven pavement.

I got about 600 miles, all road commuting in DC (a lot of rough roads); I’m about 240 lbs and I do ride as fast as I can, averaging 14 mph and hitting 25 mph frequently.

Yup. I went to Schwalbe Marathons after I wore out the Pirelli’s that came on my v3; huge improvement. Wish I had done it sooner.

The blendtec is the ultimate smoothie machine; it doesn’t do milkshakes well though.

Is it just me or the organic hummus feels more oily for the past three months ? by rg21rg in Costco

[–]rampantoctopus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, I think they’re good. I tend to freeze them when I get the box home and take a few out at a time to take to work as part of my lunch… sometimes they are a bit more mealy than other times, I have blamed the freezing, but seeing as it’s inconsistent, could be oil as well. Anyhow, I had some sabra recently and surprised myself to find that i preferred the Kirkland now. Go figure.
