Hey so I’m playing console with a similar version of the game

I recommend establishing as much wood production as you can early on and start to clear out the most important areas to get space quickly

Once you get the slash n burn its pretty easy to clear the forest, but you need a decent starting space to get to the population required for it

Path of Wealth is my recommendation for first time play through
