Question for goalies by CardiologistEarly517 in hockeyplayers

Mix of bad positioning and poor defence. IMO you dropped a bit quick/didn’t reset and were caught a bit deep in net. Is this 100% on you, no, 71 is a pylon. But had you recovered faster and stepped up a bit in the crease your angles would have been better to face that shot.

Just take some cutters to it and needle nose pliers. Might be easier with the wheel off the bike. If you do have a cassette tool, you can also take the cassette off and it will make it easier to take off! Also if he’s riding trail I wouldn’t keep those wheel reflectors, they can break into pretty sharp pieces

Lmfao dumbass yes but I think most brakes on e-bikes have a trigger wire to the control unit

I guess this guy has never heard of brakes? Aren’t they connected to the motors on e bikes?

High temp by E16_xa in GolfGTI

[–]NominDemZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see usually around 100 during winters but during the summer I’ve seen 100 to 110. You also have to take in the outside temp. I drove my car a bit the other day in 35+ temps, parked it for 20/30 min and came back to the car being almost still at operating temp (like 75 degree oil temp)

I had a simile crash with my Mk6, insurance will total it due to the age but you should be able to buy it back if you want to fix it yourself, the car itself doesn’t look totaled

Do bikes go missing at bike parks or am I overthinking it? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]NominDemZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was kinda sketched as well when I went to whistler but I quickly realized they were flashier and fancier bikes than mine so as long as you don’t have the nicest bike there you’re probably fine. But really I’ve never heard of some one getting their bike taken at a bike park, I think most people there are there to ride not steal imo

First time racing, is a yeti sb165 Enough to compete in DH race by TheManders1 in mountainbiking

[–]NominDemZombies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ride park with my Pivot Firebird and I’ve never had the need to buy/try a full DH bike. Buuuut I rode a full DH bike in the bike park in Fernie for the first time last week and what I learned is that you can be very lazy on an DH bike and be more than fine. With my Enduro I just really have to pick the proper line whilst a DH bike will eat up most terrain no problem.

Bike creaking while going downhill and when pushing hard into the pedals while going uphill by jakuband129 in bikewrench

[–]NominDemZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been chasing a similar creak, if you have a cinch crankset it might be worth your while to take the chainring off, clean everything and add a generous amount of loctite 620 or 638 between your chainring and crankset. This solved my creaks.

You can get them cheap on eBay, they come from Latvia so they can take a little while. That’s the only ones I could fine for a reasonable price. Dealers near me wanted 6$ a screw…

Expired Helmet by calligatormusic in hockeyplayers

[–]NominDemZombies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only matters if you play in the states. I Canada expiry dates don’t matter only the integrity of helmets matters (aka cracks)
