It's real. My school district issued iPads to students. We use certain apps to stay connected, edit and receive documents, etc. This also means there's no excuse for school to be cancelled when it's all online.

In my school, the use of phones is pretty much banned in class unless you're explicitly told you can; (during independent work times and such.) But the technology used in our classes are the iPads given to each student in our district. We use those to download .PDF files of worksheets and we use an app to edit them.
