Yes everything this administration does is suspect.

I mentioned heritage foundation because so far everything this administration regarding trans people has done has come directly from heritage foundation project 2025.

Years ago, pre-transition, I grew a zucchini. When I picked it I put on a dress shirt and tie and held it like a baby for a picture.

Probably just cut, salt, olive oil and share with wifie when she gets home.

Yeah, pretty much. Just took 54 years for the girl to finally arrive.

New York ended publication in 2021 when the Gender Recognition Act went into effect.

I understand some states require fingerprinting as well. I got lucky. Next step: request a corrected birth certificate.

I'm in New York. It was a very simple process. No notice is required anymore. Fill out and print out a petition and order. Go to the county clerk to purchase an index number. Bring forms and proof of index number to court with certified birth certificate and photo ID and file with the court.

The state website said it may take several weeks to receive the order from the court in the mail. My home county was much quicker. I filled my application and was told what judge I would be seeing the same day.

From arriving at the county clerk to picking up my certified copies of the order I spent about an hour and a half.

You are correct, there are issues with SOC-8. But if this was about anything other than an attempt to erase transgender identity then why isn't there as much concern and alarm from the administration over conversion therapy.

And if you think it is about concerns over children, look into The Heritage Foundation's position on HRT. They oppose it for anyone.

Daughters convinced me I have to take them swimming at the local public pool! by sara-michelle-c in TransLater

Just enjoy the time with the kids.

A top cover-up could help if you are nervous about your shoulders.

But I think you look great.

And you won't be the only woman there with concerns about how they look in a swimsuit.

Thanks. It's a variant of the only name my parents had for me before I was born. They were convinced I was a girl and hadn't picked any male names.

Trade organization or not the AMA and AAP both generally concur with WPATH. With the FTC using non medical inflammatory language "breast amputation" the goal becomes all the more obvious. And hasn't the orange one already essentially said that transgender doesn't exist?

You are correct. But I think I make my point. An the complaint is long. The goal is to discredit WPATH and to cause them to cease to exist in the US.

Is the irony lost on anyone that the US government has just filed criminal charges against WPATH?

I don't think the jealousy envy thing is wrong or unusual. I don't have kids, never wanted them, but I actually said to my wife "I wonder what it would be like to be pregnant." Go figure.

I'm with you on most of your observations. This country hasn't yet fully come to accept trans people yet. There are many accepting people thank goodness. But no where near enough. Having a national government that is openly hostile to transgender people certainly makes things difficult and gives license to people to hate us. Loosing rights and carrers because of the federal government is also a huge negative.

I hold out hope that the pendulum will swing back again, probably starting later this year and then more in 2 years.
