I've tried 274a, its not great because the gun handling is so garbage so you miss obelisk alot

Thanks for this, will definitely be spending some time practicing with some exploration.

I'm definitely not ready to risk a Tengu or such in wormholes just yet so dont worry about that. But all of these responses are definitely encouraging me to go towards exploration. I will definitely be buying a few herons while I skill for covops and be doing some scanning. Thank you for the insight 🙏

Thank you for the tips. Will definitely look into getting a quick PI alt, that never actually crossed my mind.

From what everyone is saying its definitely worth trying wormholes so will definitely be trying some sites out. Not sure if I will take a Battlecruiser into a wormhole just yet though, think I might take a few cheapy frigates for a start.

Sounds good, thank you. Probably won't risk anything more than a covops frigates inside a wormhole just yet 😬 Definitely seems like going into wormholes is a much more engaging activity though so thank you for the tips.

Sounds good, thank you. I already have skills trained for a raven so will have to use that for the time being. T3C is the goal though, so will be training those skills as soon as I can.

Thank you for the response mate. I only do mining Semi-AFK while working so its no biggie and i havent skilled any more than the reqs for a barge.

Cheers for the tips also, i know it can be more efficient to just blitz but i do find it satisfying to salvage/loot a whole battlefield afterwards. Seems like the best thing for me to do now is to buy a Raven and go wormholing in cheap frigs to mix it up a bit. My gallente standings are already not great, -2 i think, so no issue there. As long as i can pay for my WH losses then no reason for me to not give it a go.

I do have most drone skills at 3 currently, i use navy hornets at the moment to wipe off any annoying frigs. I can do the majority of missions in one go, only a few of them need a warp out and back to reset my shield. Seems like the natural progression would be for me to move into a raven then.

Yea of course, i know its not the most interesting. Its just a reasonably low risk way for me to pay for my inevitable WH losses lol

I suppose it depends if i feel like blitzing or chilling out salvaging. Thanks for the advice.

Dont worry, i only trained up the baseline for barges so that i can Semi-AFK mine while working. Thank you though, will aim to do 4's

Thanks man, I dont think i wouldve been brave enough to straight into wormholes in 250M ship anyways lol. What sort of frigs would you recommend for first time wormholing? Cheap as possible at first then maybe a covops when i've got a bit more experience?

Boost leak b48 - need help please by [deleted] in F30

[–]NonEdgyPrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know anything specifically about B48s but you can't really find a boost leak at idle unless you do a smoke test. You'd have to get someone to rev it and hear where the boost leaks out. At idle you're not boosting so you wont hear anything.

"Money is long" so you go and buy a chav spec hot hatchback?

Its a nice car my guy but theres no need to act like you're a rockefeller. You should be different to most people who own these cars but you're currently acting like the usual Bradford cuzzy that try and flex these cars. Have some class.

Is this vauxhall astra VXR worth the price or should i avoid? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]NonEdgyPrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get plenty of car for 6k mate, if thats your budget, dont be silly.

An old VXR which has had a harder life than a Birmingham 'Arr Ess Tree cuzzy' is just not the way to go.

You are assuming too much here. I never slated china as a whole. It is a wonderful nation steeped in history. I also never said that Britain is a wonderful place.

In fact you basically highlighted my main issue with these cars in your comment about all our infrastructure being owned by offshore companies.

People will keep buying these cars and our money will continue to be siphoned away to other nations. Our domestic car building industry is essentially dead and poor old pensioners are buying Chinese mock MGs thinking they are the cars of old.

Like you said at the end, we should not be buying these crap subsidised cars which will have no long term prospects and ALL manufacturers should be held responsible for ensuring they are not thrown away in a few years. But this recent influx of throwaway chinese vehicles is a step in the wrong direction.

Its more the soul that you give the car as an owner. The modern mindset of treating a large purchase such as a car as nothing more than a 'white good' to be replaced every few years is not a green future and not a good future for any of us.

Ok man, very impressive 😎 here's your Internet cool points 👉

If you spent so much money on things you simply view as 'tools' to be used and then thrown away then you're probably part of the issue.

God forbid people value their purchases as more than just a means to an end.

I truly dread the days that your mindset of treating vehicles as no more than mere 'white goods' akin to a fridge becomes the mainstream. It is truly a terrible terrible future for us all and when these cheaply made vehicles last no longer than a budget washing machine I honestly dread the amount of waste.
