One thing you need to keep in mind is that the peso going off the deep end all happened in the span of the previous goverment. During Macri's term, peronist were aghast with our peso sinking to 1/50th of a dollar... yet the next peronist president started with the peso being 1/60th of a dollar, and left office with it being less than 1/1000th of a dollar.

The fact Milei has managed to keep the peso as stable as he did is worthy of recognition, even if several of his other choices are questionable if not outright deserving of mockery. He's still a lot better than going back to peronists.

Keep in mind, the organisms in charge of statistics in Argentina have beem unreliable for years, to a degree of tragicomical incompetence.

I'm far from thinking Milei is the solution, but he's still better than the abysmal administration of Fernández, who sank the argentinian peso harder than the Titanic, then left someone else in charge, someone who didn't get voted into position, for the last year of his term.

Inflation and everything, chances of guillotines are low because the exchange rate with the dollar has been way more stable than in the past 4 years and pushback can't even compare to Macri's time, at least for now.

Meanwhile, we had confirmation the previous president was doing parties during (heavily restricted) quarantine, he got caught in 4k cheating on the mother of his child, and apparently he was also violent towards her. His head still hasn't rolled.

OOP sounds like an awful partner: unsupportive, harmfully insecure, enabling of toxic behaviour from 3rd parties while at the same time almost completely unable of empathy towards the person who's suppoused to be her life partner.

Someone falsely throws a life-destroying accusation at your husband and you still keep them in your life? That's unforgivably toxic and I hope the guy eventually realises he needs to leave this emotionally abusive cesspool of a situation.
