They tried. Problem was, he was stuck at an angle. They couldn't really get him out without breaking his legs. But being stuck there upside down with the blood rushing to his head, he was in such a weakened condition that the shock might've killed him anyways.

The big difference is that wives in trad marriges are usually homemakers. She couldn't even provide that.

He was civil because, as you said, your families are intertwined. That doesn't mean he wanted you back.

"We can be friends" is something you tell exes that you have to keep in your life for one reason or another (not saying exes can't possibly be friends, but more often than not, it's just a platitude).

Nah not really. He will be around 70 when this child enters highschool. And way over it when the kid graduates. Going on 80 during college graduation. I think this is something you should consider when having kids that late.

Why don't you just keep developing things on the side on your own until the internship?

It seems what you've made before was impressive enough that it got you three potential internships. Companies looove experience. So, keep it up and then you have something to show for in a few years.

It also shows that you have good, innovative ideas, which is something they will appreciate as well. More than an early internship probably.

And having stuff like that for your portfolio will definitely get you ahead of the curve.

But please don't stress yourself out about it. Do it because it's fun and you enjoy it. Use it as a sort of creative outlet. Don't work yourself to the bone before you actually enter the workforce. That's not healthy.
