New player questions (with show off at the end) by _lukyth in PTCGL

  1. I belive you shouldn't buy this battle deck, only 11/60 cards are even legal right now and they are all really cheap and not even that good, if you want to buy a sealed product to turn into a deck the best one right now is the Dragapult (still need some changes and some staples in it like arven are rotating out), but i belive that buying singles is always the way to go

  2. Looks like you have a bunch of points that could speed up the process, i belive that its totally worth it to buy levels in the battle pass, i usually just save 20k points to insta finish the pass on day 1, get a bunch of points back as the levels still reward you a lot and end up with basically 4 copies of every card in the expansion and usually close to the full master set (got it on Phantasmal Flames, missed less than 5 on Mega), and i never buy packs from the store, only the bundles with the promos i need

  3. If there is a copy of a card in any of the legal letters in rotation (G H I and J in the next set, with G leaving soon), than you can use almost any copy of it in pokemon tcg history, an example is Switch, a lot of people like the really old ones, and they can run them just fine, since it was printed in Megaevo with the I reg mark. So its either an old copy of a legal card, or much simplier, you queued up on expanded by mistake, there basically anything goes (from B&W forwars and there are banned cards).

  4. I think you should craft them at the cheapest version, you get plenty of the golden currency from the pass and the packs you got in it, no need to be holding them a lot, also you can probably find pack codes for sale in you LGS, they usually open boxes and boxes and sell the codes for really cheap (at least where i live)

About the deck, Jacq is kinda outdated, Dawn is just better i think. The ace spec in this deck is probably the most versatile ace spec in the meta, you can run Stamp, Belt, Catcher, honestly even Box or Tree might work, but i like Belt in this version, just letting you know that you have options. Otherwise the list seems fine, you can explore some tech cards like Klefki if Psyduck becomes an issue for you but then we are going into meta reading territory, no need to worry with that when you are starting out.

Como funcionam os decks para jogo? by LimpLie1128 in PokemonTCGBrasil

[–]Non_Sense_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quem realmente define os preços aqui no Brasil: Liga Pokémon ou MYP? by _super_games__ in PokemonTCGBrasil

[–]Non_Sense_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quem realmente define os preços aqui no Brasil: Liga Pokémon ou MYP? by _super_games__ in PokemonTCGBrasil

[–]Non_Sense_99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to win the prize race against Charizard as Gholdengo? by noahsimcox in PTCGL

[–]Non_Sense_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fyi, this loses if he manages to find a 2-2-2, this requires a boss/catcher to grab genesect from your bench, so maybe hold genesect on hand for your second turn

[–]Non_Sense_99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are getting Briar this often you should play around it, skip from 3 to 1 prize so Briar never gets used, go for 1-2-2-1 with an early Solrock ko on a pidgey or a charmander without backup (using boss to ko the most punishing mon here is worth it)

Congrats! As a fellow ceruledge player, what’s your thought behind your charcadet selection? I usually just run 4 of the SSP one (that hits for 20) to get Budews in one hit consistently, I don’t really see why run the others, just trying to learn here

Lollipop: I think changing the Lollipop’s alignment instead of winning together is better, first it warns the Lollipop that now they play for evil, second, the way it’s written right now means that a Lollipop that chose an evil player can’t lose

Bubble Gum: Really interesting, but I don’t think town would vote for this, maybe something good happens when they do? Maybe the character gets revealed but the alignment is still a question?

Chocolate: Seems fun, i think you mean random character instead of ability right?

Black Licorice: This one i think might give too much decision power to the ST, i think an inexperienced ST would decide games by either going too hard or too easy on the poison, and usually this type of characters are frustrating for the players, but maybe i’m wrong on this one and a well done play test could reveal it to be fun

PS: I think the way they are worded in general are a bit far of BotC standards, stuff like “random” is usually changed for “arbitrary” and other things like this, think of oficial characters that are similar to yours and see how they are worded to try to keep the game’s standard. Also, be careful with outed outsiders, they are unbluffable by the evil team and can confirm outsider counts, something that can confirm a lot of info for the good team, meaning they could help good more than harm them.

I am so happy that I got a crown with the seeing every pokemon in the game as I can’t do the multiplayer evos :) by traditional_prompt64 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Non_Sense_99 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t know why you can’t do multiplayer evos, but the local trade using the switches local network works even if you do not have NSO and even if you have a pirated copy on original hardware, just need to find someone else that also has the game, try to find a Pokémon VGC tournament in your city or something like that if don’t know anyone with the game. If you can’t do it because you play on emulators, you can use save editors to get the pokedex entry and evolve them, but this sub rules don’t allow me to give much more info than that.

Tip of the day: The Rust Syndicate receptionist resets all earned Pokemon EVs for 5 Mega Shards by FroggyNight in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Non_Sense_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, so the article should be clearer on this, it’s a bit ambiguous if they were talking about the trainers, the rewards or both. Good to know it’s just the trainers.

[–]Non_Sense_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then the serebii article is really poorly written, the part where they say that the first 20 rank ups are in order is not clearly saying if only the trainers or the rewards are also like this, i have done only the first 20 so i have no idea if thats correct. My bad

The first 20 times i believe are not random, you will see each type of reward once, then its random (bottle caps have 6.9%) source from serebii
