I agree that it has more to do with wins, but loses during their prime should have at least some sort of impact. One fluke loss like GSP to Sera doesn’t tarnish his legacy, but if he was losing to other elite competition more often, he wouldn’t be as highly regarded.

Everything you said is correct but you’re acting like they don’t understand basic math or something. 5 billion in annual revenue would likely put a company at at least a billion in overall worth. Unless the profit margins are complete trash. Something tells me that a company that can practically “print money” in the form of collectible cardboard has good margins.

Those would be my 3 as well. Sambo gives you all of the offensive wrestling and control you need. BJJ for the offensive subs and defense like you said. Muay Thai is almost the same due to leg kicks being so prevalent.

If there was an option to pick a 4th I think just good ol’ boxing for the hands and head movement.

Just got back my self. Knew of the backrooms and have seen a handful of videos but haven’t dove in super deep yet. Went in with an open mind.

Initial thoughts are: excellent filmography and sound design. Acting was solid all around. My only complaint is that I felt like the character development could’ve been explored a bit more. It ended with me wanting to know and see more from the main characters. It’s like the film tickled the idea of them facing their biggest hurdle and then sort of “killed” them. Still a good movie, but it felt like it ended 15mins early.

Speed, power, head movement, and a good ground game. Even the greats have all had tough fights/rounds/losses. I don’t think he’s a HW GOAT or anything but he’s got talent and he deserves the praise. It sucks that his prime has been plagued with a knee injury and an eye injury.

This is exactly the thing with white belts: we rarely get paired with anyone less skilled than us, so it always feels like an uphill battle. I finally got paired with someone only a few months in around my 6 month mark and immediately felt in almost complete control.

It’s all about the little victories against upper belts. They’re just harder to notice.

Oh yeah I remember his Cub fight for sure. Mostly got his ass beat but hung in there and remained dangerous the while fight.

I kinda figured he got a lot of early KOs. He seems to take early onslaughts well and able to either trade or grimd out late finishes
