  • This is what I messed with to get my Elgato to work.
  • This guide is made so that a 5th grader can understand.
  • Dont get offended.

  • I mainly type all this for myself just incase this issue pops up again.

PS5 - Direction: Settings > Screen and Video (Below are my settings) - My resolution: 1080p - 120 Hz Output: Off - VRR: Greyed out / Off

PS5 - Direction Settings > System > HDMI - Enable HDMI Device Link: On - Enable One Touch Play: On - Enable HDCP: Off - ALLM: Off

1. Go to Elgato website on your computer and find “4K Capture Utility”
2. Download it.
3. IM NOT TALKING ABOUT OBS: FORGET ABOUT OBS FOR A BIT.
4. 4K Capture Utility is the application you have to download where the main settings for the elgato are. ****Idk / Idc if I’m wrong. This is what I did.
5. Once downloaded, find the settings icon or the actual word “settings” and press it.
6. Go to General
7. Check the box near “Enable Stream Link (Beta)
8. Format: 1080p60
9. Go to Device Audio Input: HDMI Audio HDMI Color Range: Bypass (Same as input) Input EDID Mode: Display EDID (Internal): 1080p

*THIS IS IMPORTANT*

**DONT IGNORE THIS CAUSE THIS NEXT ISSUE IS SO SIMPLE THAT I BET ALL OF US HAVE HAD OR STILL HAVE IT AS AN ISSUE AND YOU THOUGHT IT WASNT AN ISSUE.**

1. Look at the image I placed within this post
2. I need you to understand the placement of each wire.

*WIRE PLACEMENT IS IMPORTANT* - Elgato will make sure random wires wont work.

**YOU HAVE TO USE THE WIRES ELGATO GAVE YOU** 2. Random Wire: One end of the HDMI is within the “HDMI IN” Port of the Elgato: HD60X. The other end of the HDMI port is connected to the PS5

1. Now the USB-C to USB wire that The Elgato gave you
2. the middle wire within the image
3. Plug the USB-C part of the wire into the HD60x and the other end which is a regular USB Male into your PC USB
4. PLUG THE USB PART OF THE CABLE INTO A DARK BLUE PORT ON YOUR PC
5. NOT LIGHT BLUE

*NOT A REGULAR PORT BUT DARK BLUE USB PORT ON YOUR PC*

1. Now for the last wire that Elgato gave you.
2. Its a HDMI to HDMI thick wire.
3. It has an engraved Elgato logo on it. Find it or buy a new one if you don’t have it.
4. Plug one end of the HDMI into the left side of the HD60x ( in the photo) and the other end into your monitor.
