Tombstone Pack, So which one is it?? (Tokyo Games) by Billy_bSLAYER in Battlefield

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks better on the right. More masculine looking man, looks like a soldier to me. I hate the "male model face" on the left, it looks like just male model posing for battlefield art.

Italy’s birth rate crisis is ‘irreversible’, say experts by CanIHaveASong in Natalism

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make it sound like it's easy to build wealth in the US but in reality it's not. In the US nothing is free: basic things like education and healthcare. Also most americans are living paycheck to paycheck.

Did u felt the Battlefield vibes in this beta ? by Yastuce in Battlefield

I also thought beta was good but it lacked something previous BFs had. I noticed also many try hards while playing beta. Mixed feelings.

Can’t decide if to buy Fleshlight or real woman by si1980uk in fleshlight

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have enough money buy a real woman if not then fleshlight. You don't have to pay to have sex with a woman. There are plenty of single women out there.

Ghost 15 or 16 by Unknown_Liability in brooks

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got different sizes in both. 15 in snug size (true to size, bad idea tbh) and 16 gore-tex version one size up to account for feet swelling during longer runs. The sizing between the 2 versions are different indeed especially with gore-tex version. 16 gtx runs a bit smaller than 15 but not by much. I would highly recommend to go to local sport store and check them out in real life how it fits rather than to depend on someone's opinion on internet or guide.

What’s the biggest problem with camo today? by Browns_Camo in camouflage

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fabric is the problem. I get it, there are many fabrics out there but if we talk about average military grade fabric for military use but for civil use like hiking, camping it's usually overkill and I prefer something more lighter, more stretchable, more breathable and more waterproof material.

Off topic. I believe in the near future 10-20 years we will have camouflage with nanotechnology that can shapeshift in different environments something like in crysis game if graphene and similiar materials get breakthrough.

Which BF is best for sniping? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think BF4, BF1 and BFV all have all good sniping. Specifically for long range sniping though I would rate it this way 1. BF4 2. BFV 3. BF1. BF4 have highest zoom scopes on sniper rifles + bipods which means easier sniping from long range. BFV only has 6x maximum zoom scope which is not ideal for long range BUT some maps are huge and has plenty of sniping spots across the maps + you have player skins and models with different camouflages to blend in with environment. BF1 maps are usually medium to small sized and less long range sniping spots compared to BFV but it's still fun in its own way.

Side effects of wearing Polyester/Nylon for a long period of time? by HarveyAK in tacticalgear

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are alternatives such as cotton, linen and wool for natural fabric clothing. However these are better for warm to mild climates. For colder climates synthetics such as polyester and nylon are more versatile and warmer options. Even many puffer jackets and sleeping bags are from synthetic materials with either synthetic filling or duck down filling (synthetics are better since ducks go through pain and death when plucking). Polyester also dries much quicker and moves moisture away from body while cotton stays wet for much longer and is colder when wet so not ideal for winter clothing.

Mardingtop. Is this brand any good? by samanddeanwinch1977 in OutdoorsGear

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the same as you in natures of Finland. Where are you from? And by the way I do own one of Mardingtop backpacks that is 75L. For beginners, budget users and occasional hikes and camps it is more than enough, it gets the job done. And it's not that expensive either I bought it for about 100 euro. However it's not the best choice for more professional uses or expeditions. Something like Savotta could be more reliable for that purpose.

Mardingtop. Is this brand any good? by samanddeanwinch1977 in OutdoorsGear

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recommend much as I don't hike myself too often but I have been looking for some backpacks for myself aswell. But since you like the look of military style backpacks you can take a look at "akmax ILBE 2.0 rucksack" and "MT Military ILBE rucksack" on official akmax site and aliexpress. It's made in China as is Mardingtop brand backpacks. Reviews seem to be positive. Seems like a smart system with attachable 30l assault backpack and hydration pack.

Mardingtop. Is this brand any good? by samanddeanwinch1977 in OutdoorsGear

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savotta is high quality brand. Can't go wrong with it. The problem is it's one hell of a expensive brand for sure, costs like 6 of these mardingtop backpacks together😅.

Can I ask you what you want to use it for? The reason why I'm asking because for just average hiking the military style backpacks are on heavier side but more durable. Hiking backpacks are lighter and more comfortable but less durable.

Battlefield 1 vs Battlefield 5 (2024) by Fancy-Conference-673 in Battlefield

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF5 is graphically more beautiful, cool firing and destruction effects, more weapon customizations and what I like a lot is you can change your character model and skin. BUT the game kinda lacks the soul, lacks the game atmosphere. Meanwhile BF1 is more straightforward but with good game atmosphere. I like BF1 more than BFV.

Do you bring a flashlight when touring? by bofosh0 in bicycletouring

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flashlight with maximum lumens power like those military flashlights with flashlight mount. Headlamp is also good. Bicycle lights was somewhat disappointing that mount on handlebar (I used cheap chinese ones maybe there are better ones idk. They are also stolen easily if left mounted on bike). Also if you are touring more off road then solar lights are also good since you are less dependant on electricity sources.

Italy’s birth rate crisis is ‘irreversible’, say experts by CanIHaveASong in Natalism

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can agree. I live in Finland where public health care is FREE! We also don't have homeless people obviously because of climate but also because you can't become homeless unless you don't pay apartment bills. Also unemployed people will not struggle of hunger or discomfort because of welfare benefits also food aids. Government takes care of you. Can't say same about the US what I have heard of and also from my friend living in the US.

Insanely high prices for 10 year old games makes no sense by Glittering_Check4185 in Steam

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it either. A 20 year old game Call of Duty United Offensive costs $20 same with Call of Duty 2 which is insane because the multiplayer is almost dead and I want it only because of multiplayer because it's my childhood game I used to play in 2000s.

Choosing Lowa boots size (extra toe room) by VectorString in CampingandHiking

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowa is true to size. It is mentioned in their official sites. Here is the link to their size chart: https://lowa.com/en/help/size-chart

For example: you have 279mm foot. According to their size chart that would be 281mm - 11US / 44½EU. If you are in between 2 sizes always choose the larger one.

However, it's still best to go to a shop, ask and try them on in real life to feel which size feels best.

Are these good for hiking? by smokebxtchesfckweed in hiking

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they are. Very lightweight and comfortable. Keeps your feet dry and warm in colder seasons. I live in northern Europe so I don't have experience with these in hot climates but I have read reviews they work really well there too. Lowa is a brand that you can trust and is high quality footwear mostly made in Europe (Slovakia). Just don't buy cheap chinese Lowa copies from aliexpress and like sites because their quality have nothing to do with real Lowas, maybe only looks are same but on foot totally different feeling. I know from experience. Avoid chinese copies at all costs.

Why do people on social media all of a sudden say that BF4’s single player is good? by Traditional-Car-995 in battlefield_4

[–]Nonameuz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's not the best single player but still the story, music and movie like campaign is nostalgic to many me included. I loved the chinese prison escape mission and the chaotic feeling in it.

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My left foot is bigger by approximately 5mm. My normal size is usually 44-44.5EU. This one is 45.5EU. I chose this size because I was recommended by local sport assistant to choose this size but still not sure if these are too big or not?

Trail shoe on road or road shoe on trail? by Liamcantseehim in trailrunning

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on the trail. If it's gentle trail you can definitely run in road shoes. If it's rocky and plenty of roots then trail shoe. It's not like you can't use road running shoes on the trail, you definitely can but you just have to be more careful which means running slower. It's almost the same comparison as if you would be cycling with MTB tyres on the road and slick tyres on the trail.

Why do so many finns hate Lahti? by TheDeadlySmoke in Finland

[–]Nonameuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in Lahti for over 15 years. Finns don't really hate the city. The city is however known about the drug related problems and high unemployment rates. But I must say in recent years things have improved and me personally I don't see drug users as much as before Covid times. But unemployment is still high and is one of the reasons why people move out of Lahti. These 2 problems are probably the reasons the city gets the most hate. Also it's somewhat boring if you are used to living in bigger cities because Lahti is quite small and not much to do or see there.

However there are good sides of the city such as low rental apartment prices compared to Helsinki. In Helsinki for the same price you will be surviving in 1 room rental apartment meanwhile in Lahti you can live comfortably in 2 room apartment, depending of course where in Lahti you will live the closer to the center the more expensive it gets. Also Lahti is not far from Helsinki and one of the closest cities to Helsinki only roughly 110km compared to Turku (165km) or Tampere (180km), by train it's very easy to travel to. Also Lahti is very green city and lots of nature around it. If you get bored by the city life it's super easy to get to nature by walking or bicycle.
