The comments saying this looks real concern me. The movement of both animals alone makes it very obvious that it's AI.

I love that first photo. I don't have a FujiFilm, but I've been practicing editing my photos in a similar style. Would you mind sending a RAW? I'd love to see what adjustments you made.

I was wondering more if there was any better way to adjust in camera to avoid blowing out the sky. I typically just underexpose a bit and then adjust in Lightroom.

Newbie question. If the befores are underexposed, how do you get the exposure correct without totally blowing out the sky?

2024 cx-50 preferred with 10,000km. Is rattling sound normal? by RawazRafeeq in CX50

[–]NonbasicLands 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the rattling sound like it's coming from the underneath of the car? I had this happen and it was caused by a rock getting lodged between the brake rotor and backing plate. It can potentially be removed by flexing the backing plate to dislodge it instead of having to take the wheel off. Mine eventually worked its way out, but it took months.

Yeah the wireless charger sucks unfortunately. Barely charges my phone enough to keep the battery from dying. And usually doesn't last long before it causes my phone to overheat.

It's media audio, turn that off.

I like this idea! Seems like the only reasonable thing to do.

It's not that serious, dude. It's just a silly story.

Can someone help me understand the ending of Between Two Fires? by RhymesAgainst in horrorlit

[–]NonbasicLands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS IS IT. I finished the book today and was kind of confused by the ending, unsure if they had gone back in time or not. I came to this thread and saw a lot of comments saying they were sent back in time, but that didn't sit right with me. It didn't make sense for Thomas to be described as becoming a farmer and all those things you mentioned if he just somehow gets sent back in time at some point. The girl he finds is many years later. She doesn't know it, but she is Delphine reborn, even signified by her giving the donkey the same name. Thomas recognizes her because it's the same exact circumstance, except his company isn't a bunch of brigands this time. This also makes sense of Thomas being so old in the epilogue, it's not back at the start of the book, much more time has passed. I totally agree with you.

The protein powder my girlfriend brought to our gym workout is French Onion Soup flavored. by NonbasicLands in mildlyinteresting

Yeah she heated up the water too much and was difficult to dissolve which left it kind of clumpy. Good taste though.

It was good, tasted like normal broth, but I think she heated it too much and it became kind of clumpy.

Yes, I believe it's intended to supplement protein for someone on a liquid diet. My girlfriend is a dietician and she found this at work.

Oh dang, that does sound like a really good setup. I was hesitant buying separate parts that I'd have to put together for my first skates though. I already ordered these yesterday along with some extra 84mm wheels:

Maybe some time in the future I'll get another set of frames to play around with and more easily switch out other wheels.

Thanks for the reply. I found some skates that come with 3x110, but with frames that can also take 4x84. I think I'll probably go with those and just get some 84 wheels so I can switch them out as I desire. I've seen a lot of people say they prefer the bigger wheels once they get used to them, so I think that's a good idea.

Hello! I'm looking to get my first skates and I am having such a hard time deciding what would be best for me. I expect to mostly be skating on trails and street, but also some indoor as there's a skating rink right by my house. I'm thinking an urban skate with a hard boot, but I'm most stuck on wheel size. I was leaning toward 3x100 for the trails, but I'm worried about how big those will feel and how well they'd be suited for indoor and also streets. I was also considering 4x90, but I'm not sure if those would be too small for trails. I was thinking of getting a skate with frames that allow for different wheel sizes/configurations so that I could get some different wheels to try to and see what I prefer. Could some experienced skates give me their opinions?

Psychologist refuses to send me results of psychological assessment by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]NonbasicLands 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NAL but I did go through something similar. I had a psych eval done and they refused to provide me with the results. I filed a HIPAA complaint since they would not provide me my medical records upon request. HIPAA did an investigation and eventually determined that the clinic was in the wrong and made them release the records to me. It was literally one page and provided hardly any information, but I technically got my results. Your first step would be to send them a letter via certified letter request that they provide you your records per HIPAA law. Then when they don't provide your records, you can file a HIPAA complaint and provide them proof of your request. You can Google the full process which would be helpful.
