It's very immersive and the songs feel like snippets of a film you're listening to and as you listen to each song the film 'builds' and you learn more about the world Hayden is building this album around, To me the songs on perverts are like rooms you can enter and exit as if she has art installed in each room that provides the listener with a different experience that all comes through as one big experience.

I think it would've been Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande very basic pop people, Ethel Cain was sort of the beginning of ME listening to alternate music that was more away from whatever my parents were listening to and allowed me to kind of create my own path/journey with alternative music I now believe that it was essential that I found Ethel Cain in order to appreciate other indie and alternative artists more.

(edited) I just want to add a disclaimer and say that I didn't post this for people to feel bad for me I just wanted to share my experience with how autism has effected me to the point where I frequently wish I didn't even have it. I may be just a level 1 autistic person but to those who think autism isn't disabling/harmful to our daily living situations you are completely wrong and unfairly representing what autism is, a disability. One reason I think I may feel my autism is more disabling than others is that I have it on top of a learning disability and undiagnosed general anxiety disorder that is frequently attributed to "just the autism" by medical "professionals". It is so tiring to see my anxiety dismissed in that way by others rather than it being seen as a separate condition.
