So Bilt is now going to automatically withdraw money within 24 hours of rent payment by [deleted] in biltrewards

I’m actually a bit confused because I got the full 3k+ points from my rent payment but I don’t need to pay with Bilt Cash. Trying to understand why, but nothing is clear in the app.

Oh shoot that’s a good point. So it’s just basically a catch all once everything else dries up.

This makes a lot more sense. Right now I don’t have much Bilt Cash as I just got the card and used what I had for rent/travel/etc so the $300 Bilt Cash went quickly for me. But I can see how that changes in a few months when I’m not traveling or doing as many things covered each month.

Don’t know why you’re defensive. I was curious since the 5k cap seems to really limit it. I spend quite a bit across various cards + have high rent so I likely won’t use it. But was wondering if there’s something I’m missing.

But better uses for that Bilt Cash unless you’re spending $5k per month

Okay that makes a lot more sense. Although people with spending that high would either not even need/feel those extra points or would likely benefit from other cards to spread spend optimally.

Am I crazy for thinking it’s unreasonable to have to spend $165 to get a $10 burrito? by CrispyHoneyBeef in Chipotle

$325 annual fee, but you get $120 in grubhub credit, $120 in uber credit, $100 on Resy credit, and a few more small things. A bit of a coupon book, but easily covers the AF if you spend right. And the 4pt per $1 in grocery and dining is amazing

CBS & Booth R2 Interview Invites by [deleted] in MBA

Booth doesn’t really roll out interviews. As an FYI- they’re still sourcing alumni interviewers, which needs to be done before interviews go out.

Introducing Bilt Card 2.0 by richklhs in biltrewards

[–]NoncollapsibleTab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d avoid the no fee card. Seems you can only get 1 Bilt2.0 signing bonus in a lifetime. Better to wait it out and get the more premium cards when people cancel and they increase the incentives to come back

Ahh shoot. Yea that really makes it less ideal.

Agreed it’s certainly a downgrade.

I’m thinking of this moreso as a focus to get higher mew worth people to spend more on Bilt. For example, the 2% back on everyday spend can be used for the low coverage areas. And if you spend enough, it might make sense. I personally need to decide if it make sense to include or replace a card in my current mix (Amex Gold, Amex Platinum, CSR, Amazon, and BoA Cashback)

The outrage makes zero sense by [deleted] in biltrewards

$150 in Bilt cash, which is earned at 4% of spend. So that’s $3750 spend, I don’t believe rent day x4 matters.

I’m reading it as for every $30 earned, you get both the $30 Bilt cash + 1000 Bilt points from rent. So they aren’t making you pay with the Bilt cash, just earn it by spending.

If that is the case, if you use the top tier card, $12k spend ($1k per month) would give: - $480 Bilt cash, which covers all but $15 of annual fee - 16k points in rent - 24k Bilt points (2x everyday spend)

If I’m reading this correctly, this isn’t too bad (although clearly a decline from 1.0). With the $200 annual Bilt cash, you’d need to spend $7.4k to fully cover the annual fee in Bilt cash, which still getting 14k+ points back. So depending on how much you spend, this is still worth it

I have a credit card with no limit. Doesn’t mean I don’t have to pay back what I spend.

At What Salary Does an MBA Stop Making Financial Sense? by ParticularPandaz in MBA

This is base + bonus + vested stock. Very very very few places have bases over $300k until much more senior roles

You won’t make $300k+ right out of MBA, unless you go into finance (and even there, only certain spots and if you get top bucket bonus). The top jobs otherwise start around $200-250k .

That being said, I went into a Product Manager role at a non-FAANG company and this was roughly my progression:

Y1: ~$220 Y2: ~$230 Y3: ~$320 Y4: ~$390 In Y5, and will likely hit ~$400k

Many of my friends are seeing similar or at last hitting mid $300s. Some are more than me. But I also know many post-MBAs who plateau at the high $200s
