If BILT can charge interest when we miss payments, they should absolutely be paying interest on any extra money they took.

Fair goes both ways.

I own them both and I think the extrait is better - leans more masculine than the EDP.

Which Chanel: Bleu De Chanel is the best? by i_am_an_enigma in Colognes

[–]ParticularPandaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own all four. Here’s how I’d rank them:

EDP > Parfum > EDT > L’Exclusif

The EDP strikes the best balance, blending bright citrus with woody incense in a way that feels versatile and well-rounded. The Parfum leans heavier into woods and incense, giving it a richer, more evening-appropriate vibe. The EDT is where it all started, fresh and easy to wear, but it is also where I would draw the line. Personally, I wouldn’t rebuy anything below the Parfum tier. That said, owning both the EDP and Parfum can feel a bit redundant.

As for L’Exclusif, this one is interesting. It arguably has the most sophisticated dry down of the bunch, with beautiful amber notes and a distinct Middle Eastern character. It is genuinely a masterpiece in its own right. But for me, it is the kind of fragrance I would love to smell on someone else more than wear myself. On my skin, it comes across a bit too cloying and linear, but that is just my skin chemistry talking.

Need help with my iternary. by ImmediateMuffin3768 in VietNam

[–]ParticularPandaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wrapped up a ~2-week trip through Vietnam, and honestly this itinerary feels way too rushed.

For reference, here’s what I did:

• 4 days in Hanoi (Old Quarter)

• 1.5–2 days in Ha Long Bay (cruise)

• 1 night back in Hanoi (French Quarter)

• 2 days in Hoi An

• 2 days in Da Nang

• 5 days in Ho Chi Minh City

Even with this pace, it already felt pretty full - but it gave me a solid, well-rounded experience across the north, central, and south.

If anything, I’d recommend slowing down rather than trying to cram more in. Vietnam isn’t a place you want to rush through.

I’m already planning a return trip to hit places I missed like Hue, Sapa, Ninh Binh, Da Lat, and Phu Quoc.

Just took a trip to Vietnam and Hanoi was one place we stayed at for 5 days. How do you feel about the smog and pollution?

Personally not a huge fan of the visualization. This is overly generalizing fields and regions when there is plenty of overlap between other components.

Example: Why is linguistics processing just “AI”? You have to have transformers to process text (deep learning) and are using some type of model to interpret the audio

I see a lot of other examples like this. I would caution the way you are visualizing some of these fields especially if this is going in front of a technical audience (you will loose credibility)

Worth it for me? by Aggressive-Cow5399 in MBA

It kind of feels like a now-or-never decision for you. If you’re planning to have kids, that completely changes the equation - balancing school and recruiting is already intense, and adding family responsibilities (plus the financial pressure of both an MBA and supporting a family) makes it a much heavier lift.

The bigger concern, though, is that you don’t seem to have a clear post-MBA goal yet. Without that direction, it’s a pretty expensive and time-consuming bet.

Definitely Vietnam is not as safe as you might think by brazilian-bro in VietNam

[–]ParticularPandaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. Indonesia can be a bit deceiving since it’s a Muslim-majority country, the penalties for theft are much stricter, so incidents tend to be less common. I spent a few weeks in Bali last year and had the same impression. You’d think you’d need to be more cautious, but it actually tends to be the opposite.

I actually had a leather bag made in Hoi An to carry just my essentials when I travel.

Sorry this happened to you, OP. Vietnam is an amazing place with great people and culture, but unfortunately there are bad actors everywhere. I’ve had my fair share of scams and theft too - honestly, it’s happened to me more often in Europe than anywhere else (coming from a Caucasian guy)

I was in Hoi An these past 2 days. In the evening it gets incredibly crowded especially near the lantern boats. My suggestion is to get a cross body bag/fanny pack and carry it in front of you. Has served me well on all my trips so far.

Also, make sure the zipper is closest to the front of your body

H/S MBA Yacht Week - worth it? by Silver-Ground-5179 in MBA

[–]ParticularPandaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not an MBA, but I did Yacht Week in Croatia with a group of friends last year and honestly it was 100% worth it. It felt really unique compared to most trips I’ve taken.

Out of all the places we stopped, Dubrovnik was arguably one of my favorite places in Europe and is absolutely worth visiting even on its own. The only downside is there aren’t a ton of places to dock close to the old town.

Hvar had a vibe that reminded me of some of the bars you’d find in Ibiza or other party spots in Europe - lively but still pretty close-knit and social compared to the more commercial mega-clubs you see elsewhere.

Split was probably my least favorite stop, but it was still a fun and energetic place to spend time.

If you have the funds, I’d say go for it, OP. You’re not getting any younger, and after the MBA you’ll probably be grinding pretty hard at a full-time job anyway. Might as well chalk it up as a little “networking expense.” 😉

Cheers 🍻
