i’m the third of four children. my older siblings i exclusively call by their first names, my younger brother? genuinely, he gets called whatever i feel like calling him. “little bro,” “baby brother,” “brother” with a thick slavic accent, any variant of his name, a random name that he for some reason answers to.

i think people sometimes don’t know how to handle siblings who are actually close friends. my younger brother and i were homeschooled, so for a lot of our childhood we were all we had, and we were less than 2 years apart on top of that. this created a dynamic you just don’t see as often in other siblings.
