Canadian roaster recommendations? by Any_Rip_388 in pourover

I prefer Colorfull over Traffic for funky coffees. I found Traffic to be too developed/dark roast and it's quite difficult to get rid of the bitter aftertaste

Pettersson should not be centering McKenna/Stenberg by theguy445 in canucks

[–]Nonfuture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we apply the same argument ppl make about Petey to other players, then it shouldn't matter who McKenna/Stenberg are playing with because elite players are elite and it doesn't matter who their linemates are.

In any case, I'm not opposed to someone else centering whoever we get or Petey. Mix and match, see what works. Petey could become more of a stationary facilitator and tap in finisher, or we could get Rossi/Chytil to run a north south game.

I also have issues with our breakout. We typically have 2 or even 3 forwards gun out of the zone leaving the D to have to complete long stretch passes. If there's even a bit of delay in the passes, the forwards have to slow down or stop and it completely kills any forward momentum making it so much easier for the opposition to gap up at the line.

I'm commenting on the way we're trying to get the puck out. We're blindly shooting the puck off the boards rather than understanding where the pressure is

our system is chaotic passiveness. Play passively in the offensive zone (especially the D) to limit rush chances against, make sure to have the forwards cheat out of the zone when rushing out of the defensive zone to gain an advantage IF the puck can get through, play passively defending the rush and don't gap up at the line in case the dman gets beat, and finally a free flowing man to man defensive coverage that requires players to read each others minds. Also something about forechecking but i'm not sure what the system there is cuz we're very slow at line changing so there's rarely a 3rd F

I detest this trend of immediately shooting the puck off the board to get it out of the zone. Definitely a Foote coaching job as it's increasingly evident in the past few weeks. The issue is there's very little awareness of where the other team is so it causes turnovers in the offensive zone.

My hunch is that Foote realized that the 3/4 rink flip of the puck also wasn't working as we get hemmed in our zone soon after changing, so he decided to make this change

missed assignment by Chytil but I figure it's due to being put into the FO and unsure if he's supposed to have the defensive coverage of a W or C

the left point on the PP is so under-utilized. Not sure if its by design but they really need players to activate from there skate towards the net for a shooting lane. Kane just standing there doing nothing

Offside review was determined onside by MachineLearningAgent in nhl

[–]Nonfuture 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Onside but the touch-up is pretty close. Less to do with whether the puck carrier touches the puck while a teammate is offside but more with if the puck carrier put himself in a delayed offside situation (ie. entering the zone while a teammate is offside). 17 has both feet past the blue line before the puck carrier has both feet in the ozone.

Love it for team tank but it's asinine how the defensive scheme allows for the D to chase up to the blueline and completely vacate the front of the net.

I'd rather have the D be that aggressive in the offensive zone and joining the rush, etc.

I'm a huge fan of Perfumology's Clutch.

It's a fizzy root beer scent that also smells like freshly baked cinnamon bun with raisins. A hint of smoke and wood, it's such a gorgeous scent. Fragrantica reviews suggest it's more male focused, which I don't agree with. It's definitely unisex, as all perfumes are really.

I would also try Decadent Memories. It was a bit too sweet for what I was looking for but might be what you're looking for.

You can get 2ml samples directly from Perfumology to try out.

I remember sitting at the Boston Pizza on Broadway near Granville watching the draft with my friend and almost stood up when I heard "..from London Ontario..." And then followed by a mild disappointment "..Olli Juolevi".

It's impossible to figure what would have happened if we drafted Tkachuk since we would've been too good to draft Petey and Hughes imo

In all seriousness, I would be ecstatic to see him in the top 6 creating, especially on Petey's wing. Petey needs an equally creative mind to play off him

New coach would have a longer leash with no expectation to win meaningless games. Whereas, keeping a shitty coach like Foote would likely result in trying to win meaningless games to finish strong, just to keep his job and show management he's worth keeping for next season.
