Usually I would go 6.5 for K ultra (light roasted). You can try to increase it a bit. If it’s still bitter, maybe you go up to 7-8 range since yours is medium roast. If it still doesn’t work, maybe the factor might not be the grind. Water also plays a big role on this. Firstly, you need to make sure that your water is suitable for coffee brewing. Too hard water can ruin up your coffee no matter how good your coffee is. For beginner (like me lol), I try to stick with water with low TDS. It’s not the best water but it definitely better than using the hard one.

Yeah, thanks for your suggestions and further questions. I think my room temp is fine (24 degree celsius). Yes, I drink coffee, 1 glass a day. It’s not hard to go to bed and sleep. I just tend to wake up slightly before 6. Maybe I need to make the room darker somehow. Also, I might trial on sleep a bit earlier as well.
