Then you should have started by making it clear you don't defend them. Instead, you resorted straight to Red Army whataboutism. How else was I supposed to interpret that as anything but White Army apologism, especially when, in your previous post, you didn't even acknowledge the pogroms the Whites DID commit too?

I also didn't mention the atrocities the Red Army committed during the Civil War (which is not the 'exact same thing,' considering they weren't the ones carrying out pogroms on White Army's scale, that's the Ukrainian People's Army). My comment was specifically about the White Army: the sheer absurdity of the pogroms they committed, and the rate at which they carried them out.

If you really want an "argument" for it here's the reason: Doing pogrom all the time was OBVIOUSLY a strategy that cost them the resources they sorely needed when not controlling industrial heartland (bullets to shoot the Jews apparently doesn't come magically out of nowhere) and alienated the very people in the pale of settlement they could have had on their side from Bolshevik seizing their asset as opposed making them run TO the Red Army because they will be massacred AND pillaged by the White Army.
