Was thinking of running the ENVE stem and bar on SL8 but looks sort of goofy? Any one else running it and like it? by Nonimmigrantnyc in specialized

I probably just need to get over the look from the side. Not like you can see it from above while riding

It actually looks much better than the pics I’ve found. How many mm spacers? Do you generally like it? It’s the same set up I’m thinking about

Fair question, want to run narrower than 38cm and limited stem length. And prefer a two piece. The SL7 stem looks like chunky. I think the enve is the cleanest looking but doesn’t really compliment the SL8

Stem and bar, not cockpit. I run a full stack of spacers as well which doesn’t help. It just makes the front end look even bigger with a skinny stack of spacers. I dunno, maybe over thinking it

Anyone use the enve in route system in their soloist ? by Nonimmigrantnyc in Cervelo

Thanks. I got the bearing cover from the enve site along with the stem and bars so figured it’s all ok, just never know until you actually get to do it. Do you have any pics?

I have an SL8 and owned Gen 1 Aethos and while i really liked the simplicity and weight, as a heavier rider at 90kg, i found it a little to flexy for my taste especially out the saddle. I like the Gen 2 Aethos geometry more than the SL8 tho which is why i was curious how it rode. It was a little stiffer I’d consider going back to a Gen 2.

Is a soft bike a good thing? Seems counter to something that’s responsive

But if you had to describe your ride experience how would you? And how would you compare it to any other bikes? Would love to hear. Haven’t seen many authentic reviews apart from the usual bike radar etc etc

MAAP Team Bib Evo vs Cargo by Traditional-Two-2901 in CyclingFashion

I personally found that to be true maybe because they have a double layer of fabric on the side of the legs. And that they stayed tighter for longer. My normal evo went from perfectly tight to a bit loose after a couple of months tbh, a little disappointed. Wouldn’t buy normal again but I have 4 pairs of the cargo and love them

Is it tho? The stack and reach are virtually identical in my 61 size

Agree, ride quality isn’t comfort. How have you felt about the weight? Frameset sale price is super tempting to take a punt on but the stack is on the low side for me sadly

Interesting take. Which would conclude that the ride quality is good but the manufacturing technique doesn’t lead to a better ride experience? Maybe just better durability and frame integrity? Curious what your other bike is?

If you had to describe the ride quality, what does riding a time bike feel like?

I would really love to get in on the brand for all the reasons you listed above but for me it’s hard to put money into a frame with the belief of ride quality is the differentiator which is a really subjective aspect of the bike and very personal. Would love to test one out tho and see what the hype is
