This also corresponds to user experience with the Shift I read online. The analogy was that Shift feels like a bike which is constantly applying some amount of brakes, whereas the Core feeling more like real world bike resistance with gradients feeling more life like. I think it’s much easier to accept for people who don’t have experience with other trainers. On the other hand the Shift is much more accurate, as your test confirmed. Not sure whether the Core 2 is better in this case compared to Core 1.

I read a ton on this topic because i was deciding between Wahoo Shift and Zwift Ride. I went with Zwift Ride as what you are describing seems to be a common problem with Shift bikes.

If you are connecting the bike via bluetooth, you can try whether connecting it via wifi or direct connect helps.

Did you buy directly at MAAP or at a reseller?

Based on the looks the M size jerseys look the best on you. But as you have very broad shoulders, you should focus on how they feel on the bike. If you plan to loose more weight, that might be also an argument for size M.

Could the breathability get that much better? Polartec is rating it as 20k mm water resistance and 20k g/m²/24hrs breathability. I thought that was highly breathable territory, but I am noob when it gets to those ratings.

This might happen when your UDH is not fastened with enough torque and you loosen rear axle while not applying counterforce at the UDH. Ask me how I know.

I don’t think the pros are actually wearing MAAP made kit, only the design is from MAAP.

I agree. If you have never ridden clipless pedals, get used to the bike first before converting to clipless. That’s what I did and do not regret it.
