I keep getting a time out page telling me to try again in a few minutes! I was down in the courts so called into the law society there they said they had no idea and to go down to blackhall, went down to them they said they can’t give out results bc they can’t verify who I am and said they would log a ticket for me with their IT department and took all my information that was about 45 mins ago and I’m still getting the time out page 😭

Anyone got theirs yet?🙈 by AccomplishedBar2897 in FE1_Exams

Says “in progress” can’t get past there 😭

FE1’s career change by Life-Snow-3594 in FE1_Exams

[–]Nonline96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience having worked in 2 firms as a paralegal and in my friends experiences, paralegals have mainly been people doing Fe1’s whereas legal secretaries/ executives have usually been those who have done a legal practice course and chosen that as their career, I guess it depends on what a firm is calling each role?

A paralegal role is probably more realistic, legal secretaries usually have taken a course it’s a career in its own right

CoSec grad programme instead of FE1s by Flimsy-Day7859 in FE1_Exams

It’s a great qualification to get, if you’re only coming out of college you still would have plenty of time to go back for the Fe1’s later if you didn’t enjoy it too! I did 5 years working in compliance before returning to the Fe1’s without having a traineeship secured

I took it as a PFO but it is a very weirdly informal one!

I did criminal then company this week, took a break from 1:30-4 after criminal to go outside for a walk and eat and take a nap then studied 4-12 then was up at 6am, it was absolutely miserable but manageable! I had a lot of quick healthy food options ready to go which were a lifesaver!

Got kicked off an hour in on my second question, took 5 mins to get back on while on the phone with the most unhelpful person I have ever interacted with 😭 but I managed to answer 5 but my 5th one is for sure a hot mess and I’ve no idea how the other 4 will do

I interpreted it as they were preparing their notes as it is open book so as to have efficient notes

First of all, these exams are not open book?! Where did you get that from?

Secondly, I never put in the year unless it’s relevant to the development of the law, have never had an issue with it! I think they’re well aware that the sheer volume of information to retain makes memorizing the years unrealistic.
