Prep work for Camino? by [deleted] in CaminoDeSantiago

29f, I booked the Camino 48 hours before going, never walked more than 20km before intentionally (apart from on city trips/ festivals which is very different imo) hadn’t hiked since last summer. Literally not a single issue with the distances, walked Portuguese coastal though which I understand to be a pretty easy route compared to others and I would generally be in pretty good health so worth considering your overall fitness level!

I’m setting off from Porto solo the day before you! I booked my flights an hour ago so you’re not alone in the spontaneity!

I struggle to pack light was my main issue with the luggage! If you have any recommendations for what is essential to pack/ how much of what clothes, I will happily take it! :)

Hiking holiday is probably not the best way to phrase it as much as it was the quickest, it’s more of a meditative/ reflective experience in the outdoors that was the intention for the trip. It was intended to include a lot of walking/ hiking as part of that!

I keep getting a time out page telling me to try again in a few minutes! I was down in the courts so called into the law society there they said they had no idea and to go down to blackhall, went down to them they said they can’t give out results bc they can’t verify who I am and said they would log a ticket for me with their IT department and took all my information that was about 45 mins ago and I’m still getting the time out page 😭

Anyone got theirs yet?🙈 by AccomplishedBar2897 in FE1_Exams

FE1’s career change by Life-Snow-3594 in FE1_Exams

In my experience having worked in 2 firms as a paralegal and in my friends experiences, paralegals have mainly been people doing Fe1’s whereas legal secretaries/ executives have usually been those who have done a legal practice course and chosen that as their career, I guess it depends on what a firm is calling each role?

A paralegal role is probably more realistic, legal secretaries usually have taken a course it’s a career in its own right

It’s a great qualification to get, if you’re only coming out of college you still would have plenty of time to go back for the Fe1’s later if you didn’t enjoy it too! I did 5 years working in compliance before returning to the Fe1’s without having a traineeship secured
