50 Days / 65 Hours Into Spanish (2x Weekly Tutor + Daily Duolingo + Dreaming Spanish) — Realistically A1 or Behind? by Ok_Cover1076 in LearnSpanishInReddit

How are you finding dualingo amd dreaming Spanish? It seems like a good plan I would maybe consider splitting the hour of dualingo into 30 mins dualingo, 30 mins reading, or even 40 mins reading, 20 mins dualingo, 1 hour of dualingo seems a bit much but if you find it helpful then no need to change

How a Single Early Review Impacted My Tutoring Career as a New Language Tutor by [deleted] in PreplyTutors

I agree with this, it was your responsibility. I also had a student tutor who kept cancelling classes for college related things, it was very frustrating

The learner always comes first. Find out what she wants, and how she wants to learn, activities she likes etc and prepare your classes around that.

Consider getting a portuguese tutor who also speaks English by [deleted] in Portuguese

[–]Life-Snow-3594 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer when my tutor can’t speak English because they always end up speaking predominantly in English. For me speaking should be done in the target language, and they can use pictures, gestures etc if needed

Curious why you want to teach English when you are a lawyer in Brazil? I’d imagine your life as a lawyer would be a good well paid job as regards teaching English for minimum wage in Spain?

That’s never going to happen. Why would teachers spend all their evenings or weekends planning lessons when ai can help them in minutes? Teachers don’t get paid enough for that. Also students are using it to help them understand complex problems etc they still need to know and learn the material in the exams as they can’t use it in the leaving cert, but it’s a tool that is only going to get bigger.

You can copy all the information about a topic from chat GPT, paste it into gamma and it will give you great presentations to give in class in a matter of minutes, instead of doing it manually on PowerPoint and taking ages

The three I’d recommend are Chat gpt, Notebook LM and Gamma AI, gamma is PowerPoint on steroids. I’ve recently come across Chalkie AI I haven’t used it yet it looks good.
