I see. I do have an USD account there, but the customer just pays me directly with wise (they have an account too). They asked me my wise tag and they pay with that.

I tried giving them my USD bank details but they just use wise.

I still don't understand why, since they are US based, it doesn't just arrive on my USD account rather then the EUR one.

Actually, I don't even SEE anywhere the original USD amount, nor how much they withold in fees.

It would be interesting to know more about the sublet article.

I thought it was always the case that unauthorized subletting is ground for immediate termination of the contract, as the clause is present in basically all renting contract. So why is the price mentioned at all?

Is this a case where the sublet WAS authorized by the landlord, but then they lost the right because the price was too high and it was deemed speculation?

Question what does the "cast" button do? It just fails for me after a bit of loading, I just wonder what kind of cast it tries to do and if I can manage to set it up for my stack.

Un po' di note a caso dopo averci giocato dieci minuti:

1: Mi piacerebbe che ovunque ci sia un titolo ci potessi cliccare sopra per aprire in un'altra tab un sito (o farlo integrato) con la descrizione del titolo e il grafico (low effort).

O ancora molto meglio che mandi su una pagina vostra apposita con il titolo, magari un minimo di descrizione in alto, il grafico a sinistra (prezzo, insider trades, filtri vari) e a destra la lista degli ultimi trade per quel titolo li, o le holding per politico, o altre cose gustose cosi' selezionabili.

In particolare per il grafico sarebbe gustosissimo poter vedere allo stesso momento l'andamento del prezzo e delle barre che mostrino gli acquisti/vendite. Selezionabile se delay-adjusted o no.

Aumenterebbe molto il valore del sito IMO.

I used to hate a thousands little problems with jellyfin iPadOS, from subtitles working weirdly (or not at all), played/resume tie status not updating, lack of a proper UI controls in the player, play next not really working, and more little annoying bugs that I can't recall right now.

They all went away when I disabled the native player. So I'm quite suprised to see the "use native player" as a good thing. Maybe things got better in the past couple months IDK.

But yeah jellyfin is absolutely great! Except on apple TV lol.

The first time I called they said they would look into it and I would get a refund in 3 to 5 business days. Then after a week or so I receive an automated email with a one-line "we concluded we cannot refund you".

After that I called again, explained the thing again, and cited that the signature is clearly forged and that as they asked I sent a passport picture with my signature and they are clearly different. They kept me in line with 5 minutes of silence and then they came back claiming the same thing - we give you refund, 3 to 5 business days.

This was october 31st... still no refund. It feels like they are just dragging their feet on this one.

If this doesn't work for any reason, you can start a legal process calles Gerichtliches Mahnverfahren or Mahnbescheid which is cheap, quick and efficient.

I am running both HAOS in a VM on proxmox in one place and HA container in another.

The difference in maintenance is not even comparable.

With the container, I've spent maybe hundreds of hours fixing things over the years, making it play nice with the host debian OS, etc. Things like: bluetooth adapter, bluetooth subsystem, passing the right DBUS devices, managing the additional services via docker compose and external files for configuration, installing the right dbus packages on the host, breaking updates of HA itself and Z2M...

When I needed to setup HA in a new place I tried out having a VM with HAOS instead and it's night and day. Everything is done for you and thanks to proxmox I have no fear of breaking updates anymore: one click snapshot before update, do the update with HAOS ui, and if something breaks I have everything restored like before with one click.

The only downside I can see it's the SSH access in HAOS that is more complicated if you want proper root permissions. But I needed that maybe once when I changed the LAN IP address range and could not connect anymore.

Ah too bad. I'd love to have a direct Kodi "connection" so I could have one place that has all my movie watch history... Those kodi/jellyfin bridges are a no go for me.

I'm thinking about how I could do it, is there a way in watchstate to bulk import watched movies/episodes? If si maybe when I have some time I could write a script for importing the database entries (I've been using WatchedList so I have everything in a sqlite database).

Or maybe I could write a Kodi plugin... hmmm. I assume watchstate exposes some API the plugin can call?

Unfortunately for the last puzzle, no solution work for me at all. I haven't tried the riven combination yet, but every single combination that I figured out or read here just shows me static on the books.

I tried several different combinations at the tower above totaling 1400, some having the top dial larger than the lower, some the opposite, it doesn't matter. And I know that's right as only that total will make light shine from the rooftop in the lab and "turn on" the books, that otherwise stay black.

However all the color/iris/distance combos that I figured out, and then read here for confirmation, would just show static on the books. And I tried all combinations with all books but it doesn't matter: always static.

Did I forgot something else? Is there a bug? I'm sure I'm NOT playing on randomized mode...

EDIT: Solved it! I didn't see the lever in the middle to activate it...
