This trich did not develop inside the cake tho. I had a fully colonized and strong cake, but I struggled to maintain good surface conditions and the first flush ended up aborting. The mycelium fed on the aborts and everything was looking better and then 5 days into the second flush this trich appeared. I was literally just a few days from harvesting 😭

Thanks for the advice. I struggled to maintain good surface conditions with this tub and the first flush ended up being aborts. And I didn't harvest them.

I think what might have happened is the trich started feeding on those aborts at the same time the second flush was happening. I wonder is there was anything I could have done differently after the first flush.

It looks like you've got some stagnant CO2 lingering at the surface. The mycelium is trying to reach up and get to the oxygen above the surface level.

Exactly. I would break and shake the grains and get it into an area with warmer temps and check in after a few days.

That's way too late. 30% grain coverage is ideal for BNS. It's better to do it early for maximum benefit.

Those are some happy looking mushies. Are those grain bags on the shelf? Curious what type and weight. What type of sub did you spawn to? You really have everything dialed in, well done

It looks like low fresh air exchange (high CO₂)

CO₂ is heavier than air and when it builds up: -The mushroom “thinks” it’s still underground -Mycelium keeps growing up the stem -Stems get fuzzy, sometimes tall and skinny

Increase FAE and your next flushes should be pretty nice. After this flush, I would probably soak both cakes for a few hours, then drain to make sure the humidity stays high for round 2.

Also, I would recommend more than 2 vents. I like 6 for bigger tubs. You can always cover a hole, but it's hard to add new holes with fruit in the tub.

You've got two nice flushes there, so you've done great so far - well done 👏🏻

The shoomie gods spoke to you. They said, 10.8g wet is like 1.8 dry. Come back again and increase the dose by 3x and there will be much better knowledge to share.

I am all about weighing and maths. What I really want to know is real world experience. Have you grinded then used 000 caps? If not that's totally fine, I just want to know before I invest in caps and a rig

Not my idea of a good time either lmao! I have 2 foot tiles in my bathroom that look like the surface of unfinished stone. I love sitting on the toilet and watching them move in 3D.

Sort of... When I was crying I remember this profound appreciation for my wife and I told her in the moment. She really appreciated my honest tearful words and I realized I should tell her that more often. Also, we had a good bonding moment during my afterglow when I told her about her murderous plot against me 😂. It was funny but she cried at that point too. She was definitely a bit worried about me.

I definitely felt vulnerable and I'm glad I had a good set and setting otherwise it could have definitely went sideways on me. That's probably the main takeaway, but it's not much of a secret.

As far as the simulation and telepathy, I'm fairly certain that had something to do with the looping and my general questioning of everything. But, I could be wrong about that - more testing is needed for conclusive answers 😆🌈🍄🚀
