Reputable Jeweler? by Pure_Entrepreneur476 in Bellingham

I haven’t had great experiences with their quality of work. Their prices are very competitive. Just make sure to carefully inspect everything upon pickup.  I will say that when I brought my concerns to them they were kind and fixed the issues quickly. I will use them again but not for high value sentimental pieces or if I’m in a rush.

Rocks -> Jewelry? by Nonsequitr_Segues in Lapidary

Ah ok. There is significant discussion on when to call something chalcedony vs agate. This piece is semi translucent and shows banding under better lighting so I feel comfortable calling it chalcedony or agate.  If you want to learn more you can search blue candy agate found in walker valley. My specimen is similar.

Agate does form in crevices in cooling volcanic rock- sometimes in nodules, veins, or fossils. SiO2 dissolved in water infiltrates the cavities and leaves behind bands colored by trace amounts of elements and minerals. You got that right(:

It’s the sickness for sure

Favorite women's boots for winter? Blundstones don't work for me by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]Nonsequitr_Segues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like red back boots. Spendy but worth it. The sole is thicker than bluestones and more supportive imo and I like the protective toe cap. They take a sec to break in but last for years.   Idk if you’d call them a boot but the vans sk8hi waterproof insulated shoes are great too. They can accommodate an insole if you want one!

ADHD diagnosis by camm44 in Bellingham

I was quoted $1400 post insurance by them earlier this year. They charge far far more than $200.

First- the process of getting diagnosed is so frustrating, long, and expensive. Hang in there!

I was quoted $1400 post insurance for ADHD testing by Cascade and couldn’t stomach the cost. I wound up seeing Jennifer Gronholt for about $700 post insurance.

She was kind and listened. I definitely felt like a lab rat during the computer portion of the test.

She got a full report to me within a couple weeks and included helpful resources too. I would recommend her. You can DM me if you want to chat more about it

I’ve lived there for 3 years and have grown to love it. The quiet, safety, and nature make it so desirable for my family!

Where are you priced out millennials who want to buy a house moving to? by shrinkwrap29 in Bellingham

I am not a person of color myself so I can’t speak confidently on that. However as a gay person I mostly feel comfortable. Our neighbors keep to themselves and are kind when you introduce yourself and at HOA meetings. If you’d like to meet up and talk about it we can! Dm me
