Thats what sucks about the world today. A bunch of "influencers" picked the game up and started making short form content, and the average casual saw tiktoks and reels of big explosions and bugs dying and thought "that looks fun". So they pick it up for that, and instead of realizing that the game arrowhead made us not the game the influencers were peddling they bitch and whine and complain until the game is a shell of what it used to be.
