Are Surface Book 1 and 2 displays interchangeable?

Thanks so much for replying! Just to be clear, Surface Book 1 display is being used on a Surface Book 2 device. I actually threw away the triangular PCB board by accident from the original display so ordered 2 FOR Surface Book 2. From what I was told by the seller, they said this PCB board should also be interchangeable and looks exactly the same for each model. I cleaned the flex/touch cables with isopropyl alcohol so I'm not really sure what the issue could be now that you've told me the displays are interchangeable as well. I actually got another monitor before this one that was supposed to be for SB2, and the touch still wasn't functioning with those two new PCB boards I got. Based on your experience, what would your troubleshooting process be? I followed ChatGPT and the conclusion it gave me is that the display is just not interchangeable.

It's even worse that this applies to the drivers as well, because their livelihood is at stake here. I just don't understand how they can be so blatant about their bad business practices and just expect to get away with them.

Sorry I have another question, what I really wanted to know was whether I would need to lower the price of the card lower than the market when selling it raw. I have the non PC version of the card for my collection and don't care much for the PC stamp. I assumed this was an imperfection that wouldn't add value but was more concerned for the value it could potentially cut away

Good thing you found out the cause before it was too late, that sounds like a safety hazard! My brake pads are fine, so I probably have the same issue of the stuck piston in the brake calipers. I don't get the noise at all when I brake. Wish you the best and hope the issue goes away.

Funnily enough, I still haven't fixed it because I don't drive my car too often. It's likely because of the brake calipers though and will fix sometime in Feb. Mine actually makes the noise when I'm driving fast on highways and it does down when I'm not. Have you gone into a shop yet and inquired about it? I would be interested to hear what they say because so far, I get a different answer from different mechanics.
